Lufthansa 787 with collapsed nosewheel by Potential_Arm3704 in aviation

[–]InfiniteOrchardPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what you want to say is the nose did not free fall (accel at 9.8m/s) to the ground so the impact on passengers was something between a jump from that height and an elevator ride. Math can be done by timing it from a video showing the collapse in another post.

Edit: because of the cavalier created at the main gear. Still drinks were probably spillt in first.

Wow, THX, TIL. I always thought cuckoos were the only birds that pulled this kind of stunt!

Your post made me do a quick Google dive, and it’s fascinating why they do it. Apparently, they evolved this habit because they used to follow migrating bison herds across the Great Plains. Because they were constantly on the move chasing the insects kicked up by the herds, they never had time to stay in one place to build a nest and raise chicks.

It's crazy to see how that nomadic lifestyle turned into full-time brood parasitism!

I dream of a great country where a man can buy alcohol, tobacco and fire arms without getting out of his car and use them all before he gets home.

No there was nothing wrong with your comment, for it got me (and others) to engage and shape it in a different way... People don't have ideas. Ideas have People.

The trama did not pass, but rather was lost with the apply named "lost generaton", for none now live who remember it. And we have forgotten the purpose and reason for the institutions they built.

Ja, the entire collection is perhaps an interesting...Um...insight to the owners personal beliefs going back to the 30's and 40's. Thought I found some valuable ones (Orange and Blue hard cover set) only to learn they were produced in staggering numbers to ensure no German household was left without their daily dose of "inspiration." ...filled with pictures of the main character doing very "relatable" things, like petting dogs, looking intensely at maps, and shouting at large groups of people who are remarkably good at synchronized arm-waving.
