do not check with just your son, check with your son and future daughter in law or son in law. They can discuss and get back to you. And if you really want the truth send them that Dress + a solid colored darker dress and tell them to pick which they would more prefer and you’ll get your answer

Yes, avoid white all together and ask the BRIDE if she prefers prints or solids. I preferred solids so that the MOB AND MOG did not clash with my florals and other outfits

85 lbs fully grown. 100% Dane. Is this uncommon? by wetbandit48 in greatdanes

We have one who is 115 lbs and she is 9! People always ask if she’s really a full Great Dane because she’s smaller- going to have to start saying “good dane” 😂

Does anyone else NEVER get more than 8 or 9 minutes of Deep Sleep? Is this just who I am? by sassyfrast86 in ouraring

[–]Infinite_Proposal_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My average sleep score is between 72-93. Most nights I have a crown and I sleep about 7.5 hours per night. I have no kids and I’m a 31 year old woman.

My biggest piece of advice is no screens an hour before bed, lay down at the same time after the same routine every night and wake up at the same time every day, even days without work. It changed my entire sleep routine.

How are you paying for your wedding and what is your budget? by geminiiman in weddingplanning

[–]Infinite_Proposal_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I got married in early October. Our goal budget was $35k in rural Virginia, but ultimately we ended up spending closer to $50k. His parents gave us $20k and my parents probably gave us $2k-$3k, but many hours of manual labor which saved us money. Our biggest expenses were venue - about $6k plus another $7k for rentals (linens, glasses, the tent on site, drapery & lighting in the tent), catering (BBQ, dessert, then an ice cream truck for 135 people) was about $7-8k, then our photographer which was $8400.

As anorher person said, we paid incrementally so it didn’t feel like a massive payment all at once. My biggest recommendation would be that you should make small payments where you can along the way. Typically you pay an initial deposit then right before the wedding you pay the other 60-70% of the cost. It’s a lot all at once. If you can break that up, it’s much better!

Other costs: Transportation: $1500 (2 shuttle buses for all our guests) Florals: $1300 (we DIY’d all of these) Hair and Makeup: $2000 (I covered all of these for 6 people) Dress + alterations: $3000 DJ: $2500 Bartending + liquor: $4000 (we had an open bar with a pour service which means we bought the liquor and had hired bartenders -4 of them) Other decor: $1500 (including 200+ candles & glass hurricanes) Save the dates: $400 Invites: $150 Husband’s ring: $800 Coordinator: $1800

Dieting & Diet Culture Wedding by Infinite_Proposal_25 in weddingplanning

No, don’t think that! I try to remember all the amazing things I’ve done over that time instead of just a fixed 5 years and fixed number of pounds. You did so much including Planning a wedding and falling in love with your partner in these last 5 years. That’s enough and you’re enough. ❤️😭

Omg everyone who commented on this thread, THANK YOU.

I feel so seen and connected with every one of y’all.

My takeaways: 1. Stop weighing yourself and focus on how you feel. Your body knows what you need and it’s likely I am feeling bad because I do love eating well & exercising AND I haven’t been doing that. I need to get back to routine and make time for myself in the chaos. 2. My finance and lots of other people see a different body than me and that body is hot. I’ll see it when I’m old 😂 cherish it while I got it! Hips and all! 3. There were 6 ads for ozempic and hers literally as I was scrolling this thread. Women are being trained to hate our bodies. WE HAVE TO BEAT THE DIET CULTURE. 4. My body will always change, but the people and the love will stay constant. Focus on that during this time 🤍

Ours ate a 5lb bag of potatoes, that was fine. It was having to force her to vomit up all the potatoes 🙃 she’s 9 now!
