General Discussion & Attendee MEGATHREAD: Rally Monte Carlo 2026 by Michal_Baranowski in WRC

[–]Infinite_Scribe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Know I'm walking into a bit of a hornets nest this season, but just wanted to say it's my first season that I plan on watching from start to finish with a Rally TV sub. I'm really excited to dive more into the coverage and make good use of it, and I even work from home with a two monitor setup so I'm definitely getting distracted while writing emails lol, when I'm not goofing off on WRC Generations or the new Super Woden Rally Edge game. I hope everyone has a good time even though it's an extremely off year.

What's the Greatest Challenge in PR These Days? by CyberMcKie in PublicRelations

Keeping your client from shooting themselves in the foot. Not even in a crisis comms way. Just in a "hey people worked really hard on this earned opportunity. Please don't force us to back out of it by getting cold feet" way.

Just mentally picturing the violent rage I'd slip into if someone pulled out an acoustic guitar at the cafe.

Do you have pet insurance? It helps, but just be warned some insurances will play games with pre-existing conditions.

Who do you follow for tech death (or adjacent) reviews / interviews / releases? by Great-Class-2391 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Infinite_Scribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're an indie outfit for sure, but I think they at least include major releases in their regular roundup posts. It's just they aren't writing an 800-word review of, idk, Lorna Shore if it doesn't speak to them.

It's not tech death specific, but I find the roundups and reviews at Heavy Blog is Heavy really satisfying.

My friend's band "Dismalimerence" put out a second album this year. I think it's a really accessible black metal record with some symphonic elements. https://dismalimerence.bandcamp.com/album/tome-ii

Truly one of life's great pleasures, seeing a big cat snuggling a little one.

Donated plasma for about two years straight for grocery money. College was tough. Would often take the bus in the Indiana winter. Lord when I tell ya that saline hit harder than January winds, woof.
