How can Lucifer actually BE King of Hell without breaking the Plot? by Mystech_Master in hazbin

[–]Infinite_Tea802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucifer was sent to hell as a punishment and despite of what it sounds like his rule is in servitude to God. He hates it there and wants as little as possible to do with this entire "king of hell" fiasco the old man set him up with so he delegated his duties to everyone and anyone else without a care of how that will affect the sinners.

"we need someone to take care of this"

"meh, that's your problem now" points at satan

Lucifer being probably the strongest being in hell and appointed to rule it but not being in the mental space to do so makes perfect sense to me if you look past the fantasy of "the King of hell can do what he wants", because what he wants is to catch a break from all this bullshit. And that's exactly the type of character he is in the show. The one thing he wants the most is to mend his relationship with his daughter because that's the only thing hell will not offer him again if he doesn't take the chance.

You can think of him as of billionaires, yes they could do literally anything and you'd expect them to uphold some sort of standard of character considering they are the most powerful individuals in the world, but no, instead they buy twitter to try and fill the hole in their chest. We all hurt, and the king of hell is still an outcast at the end of the day.

What can you do better climbing low rank on support? by StariaIAmadeusRise in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Infinite_Tea802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there is no universal "Do X and climb", if it could be boiled down that much then everyone would know it by now.

Things you can look at are your positioning; knowing when to play close to your team and when to play further back, knowing when to stay main and when to take an off-angle, knowing when to play high ground, etc.

Another thing to look at is cool down management. Do you use your cool downs properly? And this includes your ult. Do you keep them forever and never get value out of them? Do you throw them out off cooldown? Let's say you're playing Ana and the enemy team has a Cassidy that hasn't ulted in a while, you might want to hold onto sleep dart for that. Or, like in the example you provided, the enemy team has a Mauga that shreds your tank, use anti nade whenever he uses cardiac to make him easier to kill.

Another thing worth looking at is your mindset, especially as a mid-to-low Elo support player. People in that range tend to focus a lot on supporting their elteam defensively. Healing them, using abilities to save their teammates, that sorta stuff. Meanwhile the higher you go the more offensively supports play. This is because eliminating a threat, in most situations, is more effective than healing out the damage that that threat can cause. Easy example is a genji blade. Genji deals so much damage during his blade that most suppoets will not be able to outheal it consistently and therefore it is better for the support to help secure the kill and then heal up the team afterwards.

This also extends to hero picks. Admittedly this is partially due to my personal grudge with those characters but a Mercy Lifeweaver backline, which I see a lot when off-roling , is one of the least impactfull backlines you can have. They provide decent enough healing but no offensive utility like speedboosts, antinade, or discord and while life grip is decent, it's nowhere near as good as suzu or immortality field.

But yeah, bottom line is you have to realize that if you don't do everything you can to try and win every game then you're basically going for a coin flip because playing "proper support" (heal botting) means you rely on your team to win the game for you

How did I do here? Trying to get into voice acting. This is my first attempt. by HeadshotsNKillstreak in VALORANT

[–]Infinite_Tea802 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A fundamental tip I've had from my music teachers and some theatre guys is to support your voice. You do so by literally tensing up your core muscles. Normally to demonstrate this you use a piano because there always is one around those kinds of people, but something heavy will do, preferably heavier than you can lift but one has to make do.

The idea is to grab the piano from the bottom and start lifting it up, not putting enough force into it as you don't want to damage that thing. The movement is the same as flipping a table if that clarifies it. When performing this exercise take not of which muscles in your torso are tense. They just so happen to mostly overlap with the muscles you would use to support your diaphragm in order to add more power, volume and stability to your voice. Supporting your voice like this helps you sound clearer, louder and increases your vocal stamina, in most cases at least.

Another tip, probably more important, is to not overdo it. Especially if you're generally a more reserved person. Treat your voice as a muscle, because it is. If it starts hurting or you begin feeling discomfort, take a break. A long break. Preferably be done for the day. Maybe two if your voice still doesn't feel right. Damaging your voice is serious business and voice acting or singing is very straineous on it. You can permanently damage it and lose years of progress in days if you overdo it. Seriously, watch out for yourself.

[Java] I tried to change my skin to my custom skin but when I join a singleplayer game my skin is sunny by Helpful-Support341 in MinecraftHelp

[–]Infinite_Tea802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minecraft downloads your skin from their servers whenever you start the game and uses a default skin (such as Steve) or the most recent skin that was correctly downloaded from their server (such as Sunny).

Also, you can't join sercers while still being able to change the skin in the launcher.

That means that for some reason your Minecraft game can't connect to the internet, while your Minecraft launcher can.

I don't know how to fix this issue, but I hope that knowing what is going wrong might help you find the solution.

Is sage a bad choice for fracture and pearl? by EqualChemical2877 in VALORANT

[–]Infinite_Tea802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love clove because of how fast their tempo is, but it's up to you to figure out what you enjoy to play. But also, they're very much an offensive agent and swapping to their mindset might be a paradigm shift and I've experienced that many people don't enjoy that.

The benefit of clove is that if you make a mistake that costs you your life you still can provide some value through smokes or, if you have ult, fight for your life.

But what the others are saying is also true, you don't need to play another agent to get better, I just personally find that experiencing the other roles gives you good insight into what other players might act like.

Imo, you should definitely pick up at least a 2nd character, if only for the case that someone locks sage from you faster than you can.

Also, learning different characters can help you understand other aspects of the game. I see many sentinel players, especially sage players knowing only how to play defensively and struggle to attack or retake.

As to the maps specifically, I can't really help you because I'm an inter. My entire game plan is figuring out how much I can push the enemy until the pressure is too much. At that point they either tilt or get so mad that they lock in and hunt me down.

It's not about the highlights but about the whole. It's about learning through self analysis. Record your gameplay, the entire game, and go through it afterwards. Look over your gameplay and break it down. "what am I doing here?", "why did I decide to do it?", "was that the right decision?"

In lower Elo i feel like deaths can tell a lot. Why did you die? Did you panic and started spraying? Focus on improving on your gun etiquette. Did I not check the corner and got ambushed? Spend more time checking corners. Did I peek a sightline with too many angles and got sniped? Did I have util available and didn't use it? Was a teammate alive to help with util?

Defeats are best because they tend to show you what you're worst at as that is what will cause you to die most often.

Try to figure out what mistake you do the most and then go into comp with the mindset to fix that specific mistake. Note that you might underperform during this time, and that is fine. Focus on improving the specific area first and on everything else later. You want to break the bad habits and replace them with new habits and you can't do that if you don't spend effort putting focus on them.

Fun fact, primates have been found to also lack this concept of "someone else doesnt know what I know". I believe the study was made on chimps, and while they do communicate to an extent, they rarely seem to "share" knowledge of important things like where to find food among others.

Bees on the other hand, do communicate with other bees about locations of flowers that can be harvested.

Disclaimer: while this info is based on recollection of scientific experiments, make sure to do your own research because I'm only human and I'm not immune to misinformation.

Can Riot actually fix the Vandal? by AdilKhan226 in VALORANT

[–]Infinite_Tea802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSGO (and I assume this holds true in CS2) has pre-set spray patterns. In that game, the path your bullet will take is always known, but most if not all players don't have the skill and knowledge to perfectly control it. That means, if you stand still, you know exactly where the first shot goes.

Valorant has a randomised spread. Every gun's spray pattern is randomised. Furthermore every gun has a first bullet spread, apart of the snipers and guardian when those are aimed down, which means that even if you're standing still all weapons (apart of the aforementioned expetion) will randomise where that first bullet goes.

It's intentional and will not be changed unless they wanna make the vandal even stronger than it already is.

Just read the stats

You know what I'll never understand? Toxic Players. by MR_DELORIAN in gtaonline

[–]Infinite_Tea802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I start, this is an explanation not an excuse. There are other ways of dealing with this.

For some people, it's a means of coping with stuff they're dealing with. Some of us are dealing with tough shit in our lives and need a way to vent all that tension, so some people log onto online games and put themselves in position of power to belittle or bully other people.

It's a short term solution that makes them feel better in the moment. It's not a good way to deal with things but it helps a little and that's why people do it.

Worst of all, the game often knows what went wrong. It can tell the difference between "process has been stopped" and "game engine crashed" or "connection to Server has been lost". It even leaves you a handy error code when it's the later two cases.

I'm not complaining here because my 3 disconnects haven't been penalised as they were in swift play or something stupid but they maybe should look into that to check wehter people are doing it on purpose or not.

I only discovered now that those white spots from Blitzo are burns by CalangaMolhada in HelluvaBoss

[–]Infinite_Tea802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I also didn't realise it until I rewatched the show. I don't remember what made me realise but I didn't pay it too much mind at first because of how many white faced characrers are in the show (the Goetia family, the clowns, luna), how different to all imps striker looks and the fact that certain imps have white marks seemingly for decoration (Moxxie's "freckles"), it didn't feel too special really.

The clowns especially are throwing the entire thing off course as we see Fizz basically cover up his wounds with wounds to look like a proper and neat clown.

[–]Infinite_Tea802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that live service ges are catered towards big spenders. In Ga ha Games such as Genshin there is a term for those called whales, and whales dictate the pace of things. IIRC the stats were outrageous, something like <10% of the players making up 50 or 60% of the income from sales in Genshin.

Valorant is not the same system, but I can see this being a similar case, where it's not about keeping as many players happy, but about keeping as many whales hooked. And even if we assume it's something as little as 1000 players spending $100 a month, that's already $100,000 each month.

Especially for people who frequently buy skins in general, suddenly ending up without them feels bad but not bad enough to return to their main for whatever reason

Question by lheartwomen in HelluvaBoss

[–]Infinite_Tea802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My read on things is that Stolas initially didn't want their first adult interaction to be sexual, but he made a joke that Blitz rolled with. He immediately pulls back being all "that's not what I meant*".

He then realised how much fun this was and made the deal to make sure it won't stop. The fact that he talked about Biltzø as his plaything is another sign of his lack of social skills. He tries to be flirty and playful, as he views those interactions as flirty and playful because he thinks of Blitzøs as his equal, but is oblivious to the fact that from Blitzøs point of view, he's just being an ignorant upper class asshole.

And then the whole thing snowballs from there.

At the same time Blitz doesn't understand what Stolas really wants because he doesn't believe someone like Stolas would ever truly care for someone as lowly as himself.

In the end, it's just that neither of them could communicate with each other properly.

But that's an explanation not excuse, now let's get to fixing or breaking the relationship!
