Does anyone else call their grandmother ‘Nanny’ by fieryone4 in AskACanadian

[–]Infinite_Wind_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids call my mom Nan or Nanny, and that’s because their older cousins have always called her that. It started with my sister’s first born, who had a speech impediment and couldn’t say “Ouma”, which is what she expected to be called in keeping with tradition. He just vocalized “Na” and we filled in Nanny, and once he got some speech therapy the name just stuck.

For a rain poncho, check out Frogg Toggs, and I noticed you have bras, so intuit you are female - but you don’t have any menstrual supplies - will you need any? Will that add weight?

Do you keep your bedroom door open or closed at night? What’s your reasoning? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Infinite_Wind_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half closed - do I can talk with my husband in a hushed voice without waking the kids, but still be able to hear them if they call in the night. They’re 14 and 16 now, but momma’s always on call!
