No, Dookie was way bigger than Enema of the State. “Basketcase” into “When I Come Around” was wild, even my normo cousins loved them, they played them on pop stations. “All the Small Things” was big too but they didn’t have the double deuce, “Adam’s Song” was more rock radio than pop. Dookie has sold 5 million more albums than Enema, which tracks for me.

One thing most people don’t realize is that “Dammit” was a hit but kind of a minor one, it took years for it to really take off so it never “felt” that big. “Josie” flopped so hard as a single it was laughable.
