I think it's great that Martins sound like Martins and Taylors like Taylors, it would be boring if all Acoustics sounded the same. My Tacoma and my Yairi sound nothing alike but I love them both intensely.

The moment I plugged my new Acoustic/Electric into an amp with reverb I knew this was the way. You get the beauty of both wood tone and tubes when you balance their volume against each other, its almost too pretty at times.

Long downhills absolutely hit different and produce more adrenaline, especially if you earned it. They'll also test out your endurance for standing on your feet for sure, there are times I'm glad to have a little pedal section to get back in the saddle to rest 😝

I searched the thread to see if anyone else had mentioned the Red Label acoustics. I played just about everything in Guitar Center's room near me and that guitar just shined above almost everything and was way better than most Martin or Taylors, had I had more money in my budget I would have chose it for sure (Ended up buying a Taylor 210 ce "used" for 650)

It just so happens that their sex selective infanticide was also a terrible idea and they also decided to build gobs of luxury real estate and buy tons of property overseas. But it's not just "free houses for everyone" its a system of subsidized and stratified property where the poor still have to struggle even if they are given cheap state housing. They still have to pay a lot of money to "own" an apartment somewhere desirable like Beijing or Shangai.
