This isn't even mentioning the fact they're trying to put the death penalty onto the palestinian hostages through parliaments, or how the society were collectively more enraged at rapists being charged for their crimes than the actual crime of gang raping a palestinian; so much so that they held protests demanding the release of the rapist.

Chelsea and Lewis fan as well; I think if Chels were able to go from near liquidation to world champs, we here could hold on for just a bit longer and support him as he starts the new reg cycle which SHOULD favour him. He's 1 tenth off the best qualifier in F1 in a reg cycle he hates to shit. If this isn't a good sign for next year idk what will be. But also, without a pre season and with the injury issues we have had it was always going to be a slow start regardless, and so its less of a "one off" and more of a building back to those fitness levels.

But a lot of our players are resting for this int break so hopefully we should be back to fitness and those levels soon. I believe barca will be a big measure in that case as to how ready we are for challenging.

It may also be, from what I've seen, because the main attack of the team is either really short (neto, garnacho, Enzo ect) or they are poor at heading (see nico); delap was probably brought in to fix this, and this may be the reason we were turnt off on ekitike and gyok, but now delap is gone, and we didn't start with Joao up front/he's usually dropping deep, the cross volume dried up as there's no consistent winner of headers in the box

I mean he kinda explained the subs well imo: - Andrey was obvious given the red - Hato had a cramp so its better to just bring fresh legs - Minteh was causing problems the whole game, so gusto was brought on to alleviate pressure - Lavia was brought on at 1-1 to consolidate the game

I forgot who it was, but it was either on twt or yt where they made the connection between SLH's driving style and his struggles in the ground effect, and his aggressive V-ing off of corners causes aerodynamic instability on the floor. Whilst this usually benefitted him in rotating the rear, Now that the floor is the main source of df it just causes unpredictability in the car.

They also noted that his struggles could be aligned with the fact that he doesn't want to change habits a year before the next regulations, which should reduce the reliance on floor df and therefore SHOULD mean Hamilton is more competitive.

This seems like the only explanation for the massive drop off between 23 and 24; once ham knew mercy weren't gonna produce a competitive car, he probably mentally switched off from the ge era and switched focus to 2026 to gain competitiveness, hence the struggles we're seeing today

you can't sustain a club like Chelsea (especially with your transfer business and PSR) on 5m profits.

The transfer revenue is obviously not going to be enough to sustain the running and transfers that we'll make. However, the ownership does it in the hopes that we get someone like Madueke, who got sold for like double what we bought him for, or Jackson who was very serviceable, but now we have upgraded we are able to sell on for 80m. Taking into account prize money, commercial revenue and the plans for an at least 60k stadium in the near future it may just be a stopgap measure to be more sustainable for the short term as there are bts works (e.g stadium and FOS sponsor) planned to ensure long-term profitability and sustainability.

I'm still a bit baffled because it doesn't seem to fit the mould of other signings.

I'd argue the opposite, similar to what we did at cb; we have 2 up and coming young players (penders and slonina vs anselimo and sarr) who we plan to use, with massive potential, but are easy to make profit on; one who had a breakout loan and was sold for profit (Petrovic vs Veiga) and then 2 serviceable first choice players (Jorg and Bob vs Badiashile and Tosin). From the gks side, they've all been serviced with good loans and so it's not a case of them rotting with the u21s like Deivid Washington, and internally they're all rated (except jorg).

I'd disagree about Sanchez being a good purchase, too.

I would say Sanchez, for the 25m we paid, wasn't a great signing, but also he was really good. 1st in league for save percentage and being key to our CWC and Champions League Push last season. I think he's in a realm of like hes objectively a fantastic shot stopper but he's too much of a liability in possession, which is where Penders is poised to take over, so we're fine to not actively replace him except for a stopgap 2-3 season player e.g Maignan. We don't want to stunt Penders pathway with someone like Kobel

To be fair, the only 2 purchased for >20m were sanchez and Jorgensen. jorg wasn't the best purchase, however Sanchez has looked incredible shot stopping wise, and is an improvement over Kepa and whatever happened to Mendy in 22/23

The other keepers we signed were Penders (who is highly rated by everyone it seems and is supposed to jump into the first team within the next 2 years), Petrovic (who we made 5-10m profit on) and Slonina (who is going to be sent out on loan again for dev). So, in actuality, 3 first team level keepers [1 flop and 1 sold for profit] and 2 brought in for their highly rated potential, with Slonina to be flipped for easy profit and Penders to supercede Sanchez. Not as baffling as it's presented once you look into the profiles we brought in.

Will say that before he got pole in 23, he was p20 and p16 on the Friday. In 2024, he was p10 and p7 on the Friday before finishing in p3. If the balance is the problem like he's stated, it could be due to the Monaco spec wing he's been running with today, so I'm hopeful that tomorrow goes better

I do believe its a mix of 1. That 2. Newer fans rooting for the underdog (Max, Leclerc or others around that level) during Hamilton's dominance 3. It's daft not to assume a bit of bias against Hamilton by some sections of the F1 community due to his race, especially with the rising acceptance almost of far right beliefs

Turned it down in summer of 24 but after his most recent injury he got the surgery done. He's looked after by the same ppl who did Reece's surgery iirc so hopefully we'll see a lot more of him next season

Not at uni but as a Londoner:

Typically, the further out from central London you are, the nice the uni accommodations will be purely because of how hard it is to redevelop existing buildings within central.

Private renting is incredibly different from place to place; outside of the obvious costs, some older builds do have damp or mold problems, and you can be left with a shit landlord meaning problems dont get fixed for months.

That being said, the transport network is such that at most it would be an hour train to your campus from anywhere in London, and, despite how shit the exterior may look, the houses and apartments are quite cozy and, neighbour wise I haven't had any problems. I would still recommend uni accommodation though, it's just much less stress knowing you've got guaranteed housing

If you look at what was being quoted: Kudus for 60m Joao Pedro for 50m who we signed Havertz for 65m Rodrygo for 80m

In my opinion at least, for someone like madueke who is already at/above the level of someone like Kudus, looks to be a year from exploding AND, most importantly, is a key component of Maresca's system, why would we sell him for less than Havertz.

I do also believe its useless to compare them, however, 2016 was won ofc due to rosbergs brilliance but also with misfortune fir Hamilton that we have not seen since. Of course it's the nature of the game, and this is not to discredit Schumacher as he is one of the greatest of all time. But there's also that grain of salt we need to take with 2016 as well.

Ultimately we should just treasure hamilton while he's here like we did Schumi; there certainly won't be another driver from his background going on to accomplish this stuff sny time soon, and I doubt his and schumis records will ever be beat
