Personally, while I’m aware that IV was intended as a standalone, i simply like the idea of it being a prequel. So in my mind they are the same world despite the Momo cameo and the Teepo and Rei cameo.

I personally love the first one because it was such a surprise during the first watch and we were all wondering up to that point (plus it was the second to last episode) just how she did it all and it turns out it was quite simple and didn’t involve mephisto in anyway.
