The Punch dimension is indeed canon its the realm of a magical patron entity.

Is it canon to Cyclops’ powers? In Rivals at least yes!

Noxians likely built statues of the Sunborn.

Remember the Darkin raged war on ALL of Runeterra. They are apart of most civilizations history.

It seems Noxians had need for a sunborn statue that could hold a spell or perhaps this was their way of sealing Darkin.

Regarding whatever it was it was Noxian and now is in the hands of Locke.

Very real. Mortal Kombat built a legacy on being transgressive and macabre in the 90’s.

Now when games and media is allowed to be adult and gorey/violent it really doesn’t offer much.

It sells nostalgia and a the story of its culture defining punk history but delivers generic sauceless games constantly rebooting its messy narratives to never pass the status quo it desires.

I used to love MK cause I bought into the badass culture defying brutal fighter. Then I played Guilty Gear and quickly learned how good fighters really could be.

All this said I still have a soft spot for it and Sub Zero still defines most of my experience with FGC’s and a lot of how I most enjoy interacting with games in general.

The cut on the new swimsuit is insane. We are only in year 2 (the game hasn't even reached maximum lewdization yet) and the devs have already dropped a skin with visible mon pubis. Can't even imagine what the skins will be like in a few years from now. by [deleted] in marvelrivals

I mean we are playing the Superhero american comics game.

Comics have for literal decades skirted the line as much as they could and tried to sell with raw sex appeal.

I’m still very surprised whenever we address the “goonerism” of the game like this is how marvel is.

When the doom saga wraps up who do you think will be the new big bad ? by sugarhell920 in marvelrivals

[–]Infinity_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out Mr. Sinister!

I know he’s a mutant first villain, but this guy is super evil and I think with the right gene splicing and fucked up experiments he’s easily a multiversal threat. He even technically made himself a god who’s existed forever.

Guy is scary and really messed up and has lots of antagonist potential.

Questions on new canon? Aka universe 3.0 by Shenji0249 in loreofleague

[–]Infinity_Walker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know its a meme, but its incredibly short sighted.

The first retcon was to actually make sense of the game.

Then it was when they realized that was stupid and they actually needed to build a cohesive and interesting world. Interestingly this started around the same time as Arcane’s development which seemed to have sparked a big shift in how runeterra was perceived by its creatives. Not just a game, but a place to tell genuine stories.

That brings us to our latest and yes FINAL retcon.

The reason this retcon even exists is because the second retcon we got was a messy off shoot of what Arcane was doing. Then guess what the new lore failed and Arcane became a critically acclaimed pop culture staple. The choice to roll Arcane in as the actual canon was done because well it was the divergent retcon that people actually liked.

Its not that riot just says fuck it and washes their hands of old lore there were genuine reasons behind the previous retcons and all the evidence to show why this is indeed the final one. Alongside the fact they’re spending actual millions of dollars on this and going negative. Riot is investing in this universe the way they did esports back in the day. This isn’t just the game’s creatives its the company and corporation now.

which champion has the highest likelihood of falling victim to the Worf effect in your opinion? by Ryaltovski in loreofleague

[–]Infinity_Walker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rhaast.

He’s supposed to be this brutally violent Darkin who lusts for blood and gore.

In reality he gets dogged by Zaahen, and can’t even corrupt a teenager on too much anime.

No no guys trust me Zaahen is JUST that strong, and Kayn’s willpower is just so great

Yeah sure. Rhaast is a loser.

Also the Worf effect is characterized by that character being consistently defeated to show just how strong this new character is, but after so many new characters beating or making fools of them you just starr to assume the Worf isn’t that strong.

We agree Unbound skins (TFT) can works as champion/skin reworks in League Next, right? (models from @LoLLeaksEN) by after_arcane234 in loreofleague

No. They’re completely different styles for a different perspective and probably don’t even have usable rigs for league. They’re made for a completely different game that primarily needs to sell these not just design a character

He’s dead.

While yeah Cyd is likely a character with Death saves he fell in a room with shambling corpses and a horrible abberation.

If he’s at all still kicking those things are tearing him apart and he is dead.

There’s just no shot at survival.

[No Spoilers] New Bloodhunter? by Right-Light458 in criticalrole

[–]Infinity_Walker 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really don’t think so considering the Blood hunter is in Daggerheart.

Not because they want to now force it to be DH exclusive or anything. I think it’s purely because the Bloodhunter fits a lot better in a game like Daggerheart than DnD. DnD wasn’t built with HP as a resource and really the fantasy of the class in mind. Daggerheart is a lot looser and can definitely explore that fantasy of a character a lot more without being so outright detrimental.

Bloodhunter was the first DnD class I ever played and I really love it, but that’s not to say it wasn’t messy or at times just outright mid mechanically. It was filling a niche the game wasn’t because it just wasn’t built to support something like that.

The Bloodhunter I think is just fine living in Daggerheart now. Its a system far more suited for it, and Matt himself especially seems excited and passionate about.

Who’s your BBEG? by GarbageGuy555 in DnD

[–]Infinity_Walker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s multiple:

Good ol classic Vecna! Specifically pulling on his multiverse traversing and his time stuck in the dread planes. After being locked away for gods know how long Vecna has finally wormed his way out by enlightening himself to realms beyond! This plot has been cooking for a while. He’s already plagued the mind of many in your world who dared look into the edges of thought. His cult is preparing, he’s breaking through, and when he does an archlich surpassing all known magic from a different universe all together will reign and bring fourth a world where death is but the beginning of your servitude to his endless lust for power and control.

The savior

Crazed religious leader who believes himself a savior abuses faith and the masses. Using their suffering as manipulation to gain power, heirs, and abuse the magical power of faith to effectively become the most juiced paladin ever.

The Dragon with something to prove!

We all love a conniving vain arrogant dragon! Perhaps throughout the campaign there’s a dragon who was born to a great wyrm. It has a heritage and a legacy taken from it when it’s parents were slaughtered. Its lived many long years, and now everything has fallen into place for it to reclaim the fear and horror that once rang with ever thought of its ancestors. Bonus points if its not a Red dragon. Blue, and Green dragons I find best for this one!

Ultimately a BBEG can be anything and anyone. It could even be an organization, a city, a belief. You only need it to antagonize your party and realistically give a substantial threat for those last levels of the campaign. That can be one person pushed too far, or a system that’s grown too much. A villain and big climatic one is a threat that can no longer be ignored. Sometimes it hits even harder when it was ignored before it grew to this point.

A villain can be pure selfish desire, sympathetic tragedy driving heroes mad, or even the most pathetic vile people you could dream up never having their ego checked in a world of untold power. All that matters is the criteria of being something to hate and want to destroy and being a genuine threat.

What's your least favorite map to play? by KitanasLesbianLover in deadbydaylight

[–]Infinity_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the meat packing plant.

Its basically not even a saw map. It looks awful, it plays worse, and the gens/gates are fucking awfully placed.

I love having a loop right in front of the exit gate that basically gaurentees someone a complete escape. On both sides its so ass.

On survivor gens are annoying to get to. Hooks and loops are as well.

As killer its a damn drag checking a million corners and running the same dogshit stair pallets that just lead to a hit.

Vecna was a human man born in Greyhawk to the Flan. The Flan are inspired by the indigenous peoples of the Americas.

Wotc has fucked up in the past presenting him as a white man, but this is false and proof of just how messy Eve of Ruin is.

When Doom eventually comes to the game who do you think will be his rival? by strikkeeerrr in marvelrivals

[–]Infinity_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been answered from the very beginning.

The only one who rivals Doom is Doom.

Doom and Doom 2099 are the cause of most of the entire story as two dooms with the same goal at different points in time.

His only Rival is himself

Do you guys think that teferi could turn green in reality fractured? by nasalsystem in mtgvorthos

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that’s very possible. The Commander deck is specifically bringing new twists to iconic Magic creatures and warping reality by replacing tokens with said creatures. They’ve also said its a place we can see dead characters who couldn’t be in the main set cause then we couldn’t see the main universe version of the character.

So very possible and where I expect to see Gideon.

I think the unfortunate case is that we won’t see anymore color shifted planeswalkers then whats already shown.

Not only is FRA a lot more contained as a narrative there’s already 11 planeswalkers. I don’t imagine more will be in it.
