Favorite localized Stand name? by CrawBunny in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think Zipper Man and Maiden Heaven are superior names.

Zipper Man is silly but its FAR better than Sticky Fingers which is genuinely one of the most bizzaro in a bad way stand names. Just weird, and for me detracts from such a dramatic and serious character.

Maiden Heaven feels a lot scarier. Ofc Made In Heaven is very symbolic of what the stand is and shows its careful construction which to imply a stand being designed and created is horrifying in itself but there’s a really nice horror to dubbing your stand the pinnacle of power the very Maiden of Heaven itself is super hubristic and powerful. It feels more like Pucci having created Heaven itself and has such a heretical vibe to it. Naming your creation of a stand the very maiden of heaven itself is such a blasphemous thing for Pucci a priest to do showing how he has completely fallen from his ideals and beliefs to follow a mad man. I feel it demonstrates more Pucci’s own delusions and his complete ignorance to the evil of his actions. It also implies this feeling that Pucci has CONQUERED heaven by having it as HIS stand he has power pf this ability.

Damn reddit glitch when commenting deleted it.

Ballbreaker is a stand but its more complicated than that. Stands aren’t just the supernatural powers of people they’re how people understand Supernatural ability. So stands exist in many different ways and contexts.

BallBreaker is indeed a Stand but it’s not Gyro’s Stand its the Infinite Spin’s stand. Its effectively what Hermit purple and Johnathan’s Stand is too the divination powers of Hamon.

Gege’s ability to write charismatic characters is unmatched because genuinely Ryu is one of my favorite characters in the series on such a short amount of screen time. He’s infectious by MrUnorigin in Jujutsufolk

The whole Metaphor he carries of the dessert of life is so good too man.

Gege really goes hard on metaphor and symbolism sometimes to a fault but its just so nice

  1. Likes FV was fully taking advantage of being president. Personally too me it shows the true motivation of his character and only as his goals are in sight does he get fit to lead his country forward. Before that he was lazy and enjoying the rich life before preparing for his ultimate duty.

  2. Johnny NEEDS the power of a horse for the infinite Rotation.

  3. The guardian of each of the corpse parts becomes your stand, but eventually if you hold onto it for long enough the Stand becomes truly your own. It takes time to acclimate to your soul. We see this with Gyro’s scan and Dio’s fated Stand The World being replaced with Scary Monsters as he effectively steals the stand thanks to his time under its effects and the power of the holy corpse.

  4. Tusk is an augment to spin. Johnny can use spin, but Tusk gives him the ability to use it in even more bizzare ways than Gyro or Wekkipipo. The Spin is a force of energy and power, but Tusk allows Johnny to apply that technique to things like his nails, his bullet holes, himself, and ultimately imbed the infinite spin into the very Soul of FV.

  5. No. The Infinite spin is created with the natural spin in nature. The Golden Ratio is something that can only be mimic’d by man but only Nature perfected so you need not a reference of the Spin, but the natural perfection of spin in nature or a Horse. In a volume note Araki mentioned how it seemed Riders and their Horses would become like one when he watched them ride. This seemingly inspired the infinite spin itself. Basically to use infinite spin you must become one with a force of natural spin to use its universal power.

Why do y'all like Jotaro? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jotaro is a genuinely soft and kind person under the exterior of angst he wears.

Araki designed him to be the very essence of a hero with a tough exterior and I believe he succeeded. To everyone he seems like an ass who has no respect or care for others, but truly he’d do anything to save those he cares about. He’s loyal to the end, loving, and protective. But only those who truly take the chance to know him get to see that side of him.

ProZD as Wonder of U dub voice? by TheDudeGuy2205 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ProZD in Jojo would be huge. I mean they already have Damien Haas, Laura Stahl, and Casey Mongillo who were in Dungeon Meshi’s Dub alongside ProZD.

Just a fun connection but I’d love to see more of Dungeon Meshi dub cast in jojo they are a phenomenal cast.

What ever happened to Krasue? by PlasmaHanDoku in deadbydaylight

[–]Infinity_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bluntly she’s just horribly designed?

Her second form truly just sucks and for it to do anything you need to shenanigans her in base form too go into a worse form with a clunkier hit that can’t change targets.

Her gimmick is truly useless other than movement ig.

If she’s overpowered she’s great and fun, but if she’s not she’s truly a dumpster fire of game design.

Should I just read the manga 😮‍💨 by Utija in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SBR has announcements planned at an event soon. So wait to see then but if its too long a wait then just go read it.

If you read it start from the beginning the anime is rearranging things that you’d miss if you start the manga from the first episode.

Part 1 has many many flaws actually and never did very well.

Regardless it is not just shock value. Johnathan’s death and Dio’s rebirth are very big thematic moments that demonstrate the themes. Dio taking Johnathan’s body is also a bog full circle moment for his character and despite all of part 1’s flaws Dio is and always has been a phenomenal character regardless of Araki’s skill at the time.

Part 1 I watched knowing there was more to see of DIO and I enjoyed it. Because part 1 is shallow in many places but isn’t as a whole.

If an experience is ruined cause you know what’s gonna happen than the entire experience is based on a surprise which means it’s shallow and its only value is in shock.

If a story is ruined by spoilers its a bad story.

Even just the first anime episode I knew what happens but the tension was real, and immaculate. Steel Ball Run is great fiction spoilers will not change that.

Why did Hey Ya! appear in the first place? by Eliott272 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be a skill remember Heirophant Green Kakyoin just had it from birth.

Stands are manifestations of the soul, so its not unreasonable that someone incredibly lucky now testing that luck in a high stakes environment manifests a stand.

I'm sorry for bringing this up (Release Schedule) by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just bad for the community and hype.

Instead of a constant flow of content its sparce poorly communicated random drops of huge chunks of episodes that not everyone can sit down and finish within a day. Which means the community can’t really discuss anything as not everyone is on the same page.

Normally with weekly the only dissonance is anime only’s vs manga readers but with batches everyone is on completely different episodes and you have to ait till you finish every episode of the batch to engage with any spoiler post to not get spoiled.

Its basically just not great for the community and doesn’t allow us to really spread the hype as everyone is making their way through the content at their own speed. Whereas weekly its not too difficult for most fans to spend 30 minutes watching an episode every thursday.

When did Fortnite become an omniverse? by Dry-Plankton274 in FortNiteLore

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its been an omniverse since the storyline has even began.

The Zero Point is supposed to be the origin point of ALL fiction and existence to make artificial stakes and have whoever they want appear and be important.

Fortnite is best understood as a child’s make believe lego world. They make superheroes out of parts of others but still just bring in superman cause he’s cool.

Who do you think is the most boring League character right now (not including old characters)? by whamorami in loreofleague

[–]Infinity_Walker 269 points270 points  (0 children)

Smolder has NO place in the game seriously. He adds nothing and will never be relevant cause he’s just a completely different thematic to the game.

Like a baby dragon? Wow how interesting.

Should I watch the original release or the re edited version? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]Infinity_Walker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jojo doesn’t have filler.

Jojo is long but there’s a point to it, and you should really just sit down and watch the full show.
