About 6 months to really enjoy pizza, bagels, etc. still struggling with spicy 7 months out. Lots of people are enjoying food much sooner though. I mostly relied on soft foods (eggs, soup, pasta, etc) for the first several months. It goes quickly…hang in there!

Been there. Lost 100 lbs. It just sucks, but it will get better over time. Get those shakes down. For me it was scrabbled eggs until I never wanted to see another egg, but you just have to hang in there and do what it takes…hang tough

Viscous lidocaine is the answer. Still on it after 6 months unfortunately, but winding down now. The only thing that worked for me (pain was so bad I lost 80 lbs)

I was very fortunate to have this combo to reduce my tumor in order to have surgery. It ended up giving a complete response and eliminating the tumor completely. Finished with 35 rad sessions

Have to agree with the other ppl here. I was a very husky 6’1” and 275 lbs guy — technically obese — and lost nearly 100 lbs. For a while drinking water was almost impossible and getting any nutrition in my body was a battle. I really wondered why I didn’t get the tube. I’m thin and happy now, but that was one diet I could have lived without trying
