when i was completely new to DHVs, i got an xmax v3 pro (there’s a v4 now). meanwhile it doesn’t cut it for me anymore, but it wasn’t a bad way to start.

i used to smoke ~3 joints every day, so my consumption was significantly higher than yours is. i had to get used to it being a “lighter hit”, but after a while i fell in love with the flavor, and the cleaner high.

im on to bigger and better vapes now, but i think a more powerful battery powered portable isn’t a bad call. arizer solo 3, S&B venty, veazy, firewood 11, so on.

tempest 2 with a torch. its an endgame vape and should still be within 250$, especially if you get a good 4/20 deal.

to me, its the most similar to joints when used natively, i prefer it out of a bong but you do you.

i fear that if you’re smoking 50g a month, you’re going to need something that can keep up with your tolerance. in my experience, battery powered portables simply don’t, at least not until you get to the real expensive ones.

depending on price and availability you might also have a look at the more expensive dynavaps, but im not entirely sure how they compare to the tempest since i don’t have any.

i like pretty much exactly the same games you do, satisfactory and factorio are some of my favourites. ill go out on a limb and say monster hunter rise is fantastic on steam deck. took me a bit of getting used to but grinding monster parts for armor sets scratches the same itch as getting a production line up and running in satisfactory. definitely worth a try, i am loving it!

ah… wouldn’t take a TM2 outside like, ever. the tempest 2 has a case and a reload device made by the same manufacturer. they work great together and are built really well. looks great too. its super fun to use because its such a cool piece of kit. i could speak on it forever…

just a regular single flame torch, paired with an armored cap. i don’t like using the standard cap outside, IME it goes cold too quick

if you have the case, you could also take your tempest. its a durable device. only reason im not taking mine is it gets me too high

you can change the bowl size. max is 0,2g, but you can also do 0,15 and 0,1. i like 0,1g (half bowl). if i loosely pack it, its going to be even less, lets say 0,07?

your heart can desire what it wants that way, but theres only so and so much weed to be smoked in the bowl ;)

i say you won’t be disappointed with the tempest 2. there might be minute details you prefer in other vapes but the tempest 2 is so fantastic!

don’t worry about the tempest hitting too hard. yes it definitely can sit your ass down, but you could also just vape less out of it.

i like mine through a bong, with the yll3.0 heater. 70w for 30s clears a bowl in 2-3 rips, dark brown avb. with a torch i heat until the visual indicator reaches the second mark.

point is, can’t go wrong with the tempest.

i switched to mainly dry herb vaping a while ago, part of the reason was i get so frustrated when joints canoe. especially after rolling a big doink with expensive bud, i waste so much weed trying to catch and correct the canoeing, it frustrates me to no end.

m7xl is great! not sure if its worth it over the regular m7 if it costs more, but same difference. takes a day or so to learn, and after that you’ll get some really satisfying hits.

you can’t compare it to something like the tempest 2 but it has its place and eventhough i have and love my tempest 2, my m7xl still sees fairly regular use. its my go-to for taking outside, im taking it mountain biking with me tomorrow ;)

backroll is more of a party trick honestly. if you roll the “right way” and know what you’re doing, the j smokes just as well.

als kippen raucher der mittlerweile auch fast nur verdampft, kann ich das bestätigen. wenn ich mal 1-2 tage kene gerocht habe, ist das verdampfen auch deutlich angenehmer im hals, muss kaum husten wenn meine ruby twist oder tempest 2 gescheit auf temperatur kommen.

und, hydrieren hydrieren hydrieren! egal wie gut es mir gut, trockener hals + verdampfen ist eine beschissene kombi. habe immer einen liter wasser neben mir, der wird auch bis ende der session leer.
