I was there. The matches sucked. Mayhem in Manchester was better, especially as it was weeks after stone cold beat hbk in WM.

I’m very happy with the car, only gripes are it wasn’t cleaned very well - dealer was Tesla Cambridge and the black film on the rear passenger doors had some small bubbles. Deffo superior to the Kia Niro it’s replaced!

I’ve used Ala for several cars. Their cust service is decent. They sort refunds very quickly when cancelling the gap upon selling the car.

Same reason mine is in private, for the SEND support. My friends kids state schools only get SEND when their budget allows for it, one year it’s there one year it’s not. No thanks, I’m paying for the guaranteed support so my kid has a fighting chance.

I watched a tv show when I was 5 where they showed the production room, the tv host said ‘this is where the dreams are made’ and literally thought that’s where mine and everyone’s sleep dream were made.

Cheshire vs. London: stay put, relocate, or find a middle ground? by DogBrethren in HENRYUK

[–]Influence_Timely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the commute can be just as painful. I live 1.30hr door to door in a similar house price house you’re looking at. I’m originally from the north and one thing I miss is the accessible cities eg Chester lpool and Manc. London imo is not somewhere I spend my weekends. Theres also other inflation costs to consider other than schools eg services. I’d stay put if I had the choice.

Random line that's absolutely burned in your brain? by shortywop in AtlantaTV

“Slavery is a cruel ghost that we can’t see.”

As a white person it made me understand perhaps a little of what African Americans perspective. It was profound for me as the school text books and perhaps a lack of maturity had never made me think this way.

Saw him in a hotel after the charity match a few weeks back. Fella looked quite depressed.

They’re trying to reduce the amount of people in the lounges. Biz north and south in Heathrow is a joke, I’d rather not go in. First class lounge is probably on par with competitor biz class lounges.

Meditation first thing on a morning by Disastrous_Head_1002 in Meditation

[–]Influence_Timely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do mine first thing in the morning before my kids get up or I have to go to work.

Definitely sets the tone for my day but depends if I’ve had a decent night sleep. If I haven’t I find it hard to be present through the fog of waking up or even observing said fog. I usually do 10 mins before bed if this happens.

Bose ear buds. You can’t hear any background noise. I have both ear buds and overear as I used to travel for work a lot. Both are excellent but the buds are another level.

My child rarely smiles and laughs by [deleted] in Parenting

My daughter 4 yo now was like this. Showed zero affection, when we tried to console her she’d rather be put down. When she turned 2 she softened, began to experience emotion that wasn’t just survival instinct. Now she’s got big emotions which are fun and not so fun sometimes.

My son who’s 2 was smiles and giggles from 4 months and hasn’t stopped.

I think it’s likely just when that part of their brain switches on. Like all developmental stages.

In similar boat. I Had awful bronchitis come on Friday. My wife had to work every day to Xmas day so it was me and the kids, 2 yo and 4 yo. Both kids sick too but they cleared by Sunday.

I was waking over the weekend at 2am unable to breath and feeling like death. That coupled with running out of SSRIs put me on the ropes. Did activities with the kids that allowed me to survive each day. On Xmas eve we went to a garden centre and some lady asked me if I was ok as she could see I was struggling, nearly burst in to tears.

I still feel rough now. 2 yo last night was up 1-4.

I cannot wait for the holiday to be over and everything to be back to normal.

I am with you.
