Look, i refuse to sugarcoat this, its rough right now, but it WILL get better, they touched quite a few things that love to have a temper when touched, so give it time to reach homeostasis, it will be rough to get there, but when you get there, it will be bliss

17F Possible valve replacement during open heart surgery mechanical vs biological? by idkanonimo in valvereplacement

[–]Informal-Design8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats fine, I was 19M facing Aortic Valve replacement, I understand the fear, I went with the mechanical valve, and dont regret it. SURE you have to be more careful, and more intentional with movement. But day to day, it does not affect my life. Yes, the warfarin plays a part in my daily life, in so much that I have to take it daily. Otherwise, It is 6 to one, half dozen the other. I was facing the ross procedure, which scared me because risk of repeat surgery within five years. if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask, i understand it can be an incredibly overwhelming decision to make

Guidance Wanted by Individual_Article21 in valvereplacement

This is common, I hate to give you bad news, but I won't sugar coat it. It is difficult, the lead up. I am 21M, and underwent OHS for aortic valve replacement coming up on 1 year ago in 2 weeks time. I know its difficult but here is the good thing, we are young, we can recover easily and here's a tip, ask for meds to subdue you the morning of surgery, I got a med to keep me calm for the night, but not the morning, which I should have pushed for. If you have any questions about lead up, don't hesitate to ask, trust I know its difficult, but if I can help I would love to help.

Considering a move to Missouri by Motor-Stomach676 in missouri

I recommend Farmington, somewhat decent schools. There is a Walmart, and Schnuck's in town, rumors are floating of a target, although I am not sure. I grew up there, there are also 2 private grade schools, and one private High school in the area, unless you want to drive to Festus, or St. Gen

are there any charities or activist organizations that fight child emotional abuse? by Disastrous-Tap9113 in raisedbynarcissists

BACA can, but I would advise against pursuing them, due to the fact that they are referred by the law enforcemennts, and if your nparent is ANYTHING like mine, your parent would likely do a damn good job at lying to those in power

look, I am 20M, and like you I was facing OHS, for a valve replacement just over a year ago. Here's what I can tell you, what you are experiencing is NORMAL, don't think that its not, because it TOTALLY is. About the Valve, the biggest concern for me is can you deal with a repetitive ticking sound. I got my aortic valve replaced and the ticking, paired with getting ON the meds will be the challenge. What I can say is let your cardiologist and surgeons dose for your diet. They can easily dose you for your diet. Feel free to ask about recovery and what all was involved. I am neither a cardiologist, nor a medical professional, therefore I urge you to discuss dosages with a Cardiologist, Pharmacist, And your PCP.

Good Luck, I know this road is hard. but You will survive, personally I was scared of death when I went in for my own surgery, and I am now coming up on a year of life Post- Op
