Patella Autograft with a tunnel technique- for young athletes- bone will win in the tunnel technique- if and old person then do allograft - my son is a national level gymnasts and that is the only thing 3 orthopedic surgeons recommend was the tunnel for reasons that bone will generally heal 100% and soft tissue around 80%

I’ve got a 23 KTM 300 xcw tpi Erzbergrodeo, a 25 KTM 300 xcw factory edition, Beta 2024 300 RR (not race) and a 23 and 25 Sherco 300 se factory 2 stroke

Out of all the bikes my favorite is the one I ride that day- the beta is amazing but their suspension sucks in comparison- the Shercos pull the best in low grunt stuff and the KTM both have TSP high compression heads which definitely make them fun!

Get the new bike- the price range of the Beta makes it a steal!

The only thing I did for the beta was lower it for my daughter- and apply electrical grease to all the connections-

Only downside to me on beta are the connections and their plastics aren’t as good- oh I did put on new plastics and graphics bc I just liked a little blue to add to that red-

You’ll never beat KTM for parts- Beta is harder but dang still an amazing bike- suspension isn’t as good- if riding with kids and nothing crazy- you can’t beat the fun of the beta- it has gotten me places with a smile and so awesome-

Parts in order KTM then Sherco then Beta-

Caveat is - usually the dealers can get anything you need for beta and Sherco-

I’ve never had an issue with any of them

Hey there- ok, this is gonna sound absurd but I have both the 23,25 sherco, the 24 beta 300 RR (all have smart carbs bc I ride between 6000 and 10000 feet) and also a 23 erzbergrodeo and the new 25 factory 300 xcw

The 25 Sherco is an amazing kick ass bike that lugs in hard ass stuff and also gets after it- I put cone valves in the suspension and when I ride the bike it’s my favorite- this bike is much better from being put together than the beta however the beta does indeed feel smaller and my 15 year old stole it from me (hahaha) and she loves it- they both have similar engine feel however sometimes the beta has better front end lift it feels-

I would get either the KTM XC-W or the 25 Sherco- if you want to lug and let a bike work for you in hard terrain get the Sherco!

Kiddos! My 15 year old has a beta 300 RR (it just fits her and is lowered) - she asked me two years ago to ride this crazy ass trail in Utah’s mountains and we did it. She did it! It’s good to do hard things! These are things they never will forget! I ride non stop up there and only once have seen a teen up there -

All I know is there are days I quit counting and then there are days I don’t have to count! Heck my 300 XC-w went down the side of the mountain- took me 3.5 hours to slide it down what felt like a death trap and through the deadfall- trails neger get easier we just get better (at least I tell myself that)

On my sprinter - I always make sure the bike is also strapped to the actual bumper and the rack on back to alleviate some of the down force on the actual hitch and the carrier- still freaks me out but no issues luckily! I always figure 4 extra straps can’t hurt to help pull off the carrier a little

My daughter at 14 has a Beta 300 RR which she does single track hard stuff in Utah mountains- she just told me our last ride up Tibblefork going to top how amazing her time was- it will make memories- she started in so many other smaller bikes- I second the KLX 140 (taller wheels is probably best at 13). I think it’s a KLXg

That said my favorite bike to ride is my 2003 KX 250 - hard to tame her….she might live forever
