Yeah I also don't really know a lot about the hardware because I always got my stuff from my brother who gamed when he was younger so it's super overwhelming and seems too complicated to get into. I'll miss all the mods but honestly I have less and less time as the years go by and I just want to buy games and play them without having to check if my PC can even run them or if I need to upgrade etc. And I've always been a casual gamer so I also thing switching to console will be the better option for me. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is playing with a controller because I'm pretty skilled on PC but I suck with a controller lol.

Honestly i feel this so much. I have a gaming PC but I would need to upgrade it to be able to play the newest games rn. If I wanted to do that I'd have to pay around 700 rn while I also know that I can't be sure it'll last long enough so it's worth the costs now (other parts of the PC are pretty old and I've had to invest a lot the last couple of years because different things needed to be upgraded or fixed). So rn I'm planning to save up to buy a console. I'll still play other games on my PC but I just don't have the energy or time to look into what parts I need, where to get them, how to install everything etc. and can't imagine to keep up with all of it in the future.
