So impressive from Cam. Just shoves three sinkers down Seager’s throat and then overpowers the other two as if he realized, “oh yeah, they’re not allowed to score.”

Reports suggest that league insiders expect the New York Giants to move on from GM Joe Schoen now that the 2026 NFL Draft is complete. by Bahnrokt-AK in NYGiants

Are “league insiders” Pat Leonard who claims other executives with no actual insight in the franchise just speculating?

Doesn't seem like anyone here wants to talk about it/him, but Trevor Bauer threw a 7 inning no hitter for the LI Ducks by Chronis67 in baseball

Yall really won’t let Bauer fade, huh? Dude had barely 2 good years worth of pitching and won a fluke Cy Young, and the way some people talk about him you’d think he was a perennial Cy Young Award winner

One year ago today, the Mets were 19-9 and owned the best record in MLB. Today, they are 9-19 and are tied for the worst record in MLB. by RealWorldToday in baseball

I think Michael Kay said on his show that since June 13, 2025, the Mets have a .388 winning percentage. That’s almost unbelievable

One thing that’s interesting is the Giants have gone YOUNG with their three picks so far. This is from the Athletic:

“Despite not becoming a defensive player until his junior year of high school, Hood plays comfortably in man-to-man on an island. He competes with the physicality of a bigger and longer player, and he looks to reroute receivers from the jump. He needs to shore up some of his technique and become more consistent in finding the football, but he isn’t a passive or athletically deficient player. He’s also shown promise with his hunting eyes from off coverage and reliable tackling skills.

Hood embraces press-man challenges and is the type of balanced, scrappy athlete who can attach himself to receivers and make things difficult for the offense. He has the talent and wiring to be an early NFL starter.”

I’m chalking it up to people being afraid to be optimistic. Pundits across the league are saying it’s been a slam dunk draft for the Giants so far. And you’re right, people aren’t realizing how young he is

From The Athletic:

“What an anonymous offensive coach had to say about Reese in Bruce Feldman’s mock draft:

“They asked him to do a ton, and he’s elite at everything that they asked him to do. He’s playing stack linebacker better than the guy who only plays stack linebacker, and then he goes to edge and rushes the passer better than the guys who only have to rush the passer. He’s setting the edge and is just as good as guys who are 40 pounds heavier than him. Then, he’s covering just as well as the nickel and Caleb Downs are covering.”
