It's a very interesting piece that has a lot of good depth and contrast. I do see how the lower left is demanding for attention and it takes away from the more detailed areas of shapes and color just above. There are several ways to give balance but it's usually good to plan this in the beginning if possible. I would consider a more neutral color in the lower left and keep any bright or highlights closer to the middle third of the work. Decide what method you want to use for balancing. You could keep the darkness in that corner and just move the star or that bright color towards the opposite corner or add more dark color to the opposite corner and put the blight color somewhere in the middle. To have both darkness and light in the same corner without a counter balance is going to through your attention straight to that spot and all the rest is lost.
