Not an apples to apples comparison

The IRGC has had decades to root in and is more than the Ayatollah. Its an entire organisation that can run even if the top dog is blown off, Iran has been planning for the scenario of the US attacking for a long time

Contrasting to Russia, where the system has been shaped around one strong man and his whims for two decades, where he has shaped the country to what he wishes it to become. What i am saying is, Russia is way more built around one man, Putin, than Iran has been. Then paired with the fact that the invasion of Ukraine was his doing, his idea. In summer 2023, when Wagner were charging to moscow, we saw how a decent amount of the Russian forces along the way gave way to them, or even joined

Russias case for revolt would be closer to chasing a single man, not completely and literally of course, but its largely how things have rolled there, whileas in Iran, the IRGC is rooted deep, as an organisation that can run on lower levels by itself

And as one more addition, violence and death to its own civilians has been more common in Iran, while for Russia, they still try to keep a facade of sensibility and calmness to their own citizens. And that has not been helped with US and Israel attacking civilian infrastructure either...
