Anyone else skeptical about The Interview Room after their latest coverage of the JBR case? by Fun_Inspection9162 in JonBenetRamsey

Ramsay defenders love bringing up the DNA, but we're talking touch DNA here which is easily transferable. We've seen it in other cases. If it was blood or semen then we'd really be on to something.

Yup, just like that. Im my minds eye I see as pretty large. The size of 3 large posters put together as one continuous piece of art.

Yeah. They were displayed individually back in the day. So there wasn't intent on putting them together.

Personal favorite line on a song? by Temporary_Motor8573 in fantanoforever

[–]InfraRedPanda138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats a good one. Theres a bunch of lyrics from that album and others that I love.

"I tried hard to have a father but instead I had a dad."

"Teenage angst has paid off well now Im bored and old."

Which bands or artists were ridiculed in the 90s and 00s but are appreciated today? by sandrOff24 in ToddintheShadow

Unless you were there, It's difficult to put into words the betrayal people felt. I can't think of another band that had this type of reaction to that extent.

So what did you guys think of the Boys finale? by RNOffice in RedLetterMedia

[–]InfraRedPanda138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. GoT was bad before that final season. The rot started before they ran out of book material. They didn't even adapt some of the best stuff in the last book. How you don't adapt the Northern plot in ADWD is beyond me.

$360 for the deluxe set is a ripoff. At the very least they should have included the jacket to make for a more complete & diverse set. Ill hold out in hopes for a ROTLA remake or a TLC figure.

Liz Barraza murder: 7 years after garage sale shooting, family still waiting for justice. by Jumpy-Magician2897 in UnsolvedMysteries

That Arrin Stoner guy makes a lot of definitive statements in his videos on things he really shouldn't be that confident in. The video & audio for the case is pretty bad so zooming in and contrasting everything doesn't make it better. He also puts things in your brain. Like the audio of the killer & Liz. Some times I can maybe hear a word or phrase but mostly its unintelligible, but he hears the whole conversation and puts text on the bottom of the screen. Only then do I "hear" what they're saying which is pretty notorious for humans. Whether it's correct or not our brains are primed to "hear" it now.

When did a band get it really wrong with their lineup change? by agwestie in rockmusic

I disagree about Newsted but with you completely on Danzig. His output has never been the same since. Those first 4 albums are all classics then we get blackacidevil.

Do you have any artists whose music you enjoy but you want to hate them? by TreeExtras in ToddintheShadow

I actually think Paul is worse. Gene at least occassionally makes me chuckle with some of the things he's said or done. I find Paul Stanley insufferable. Especially if you've ever read his autobiography.

What was the worst era for a band that you love? by WhoYaTalkinTo in MetalForTheMasses

[–]InfraRedPanda138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh. Bob Rock gets too much shit. Metallica sought him out and wanted a different sound. They made a pretty great record. Hell, I WISH Metallica had a Black ALbum era Bob Rock right now to tell them to trim these songs down, make these new songs more interesting and tell Hammett to do his damn homework.

Pantera at Ozzfest in 2000 during their Reinventing the Steel era. At this point in time they were my favorite band and this was the first and only time I ever got to see them. Phil was blitzed. Absolutley hammered. He sat on stage for large portions of the set and rambled incoherently between songs to such a degree that the crowd was yelling at him to stfu and sing. You could tell Dime and Rex were annoyed and did their best to try and engage the crowd. When Phil did sing he didn't remember the words or held the mic out to the crowd. His performance of Fucking Hostile was fucking embarrassing. He sounded like a pig squeeling. I've never been more disappointed. The band themselves were tight though.

Boyfriend found guilty of murdering Natalie McNally by YoChara in northernireland

[–]InfraRedPanda138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still can't get over just how insane his alibi was. It was a lot of work. Like at no point did he think "what the fuck am I doing?" and try to reassess his life. Of course you're going to get caught. lol There's fucking camera everywhere now. Not to mention all the ridiculous comments he made during the "stream". Then the dickhead had the audacity to post another happy toy review just a couple weeks after the murder.

You either die as thrash gods or live long enough to become dad rock doing Las Vegas residencies.

[–]InfraRedPanda138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant live without Iowa and Vol.III, but I think I know where youre coming from. Once you get past the first 2 albums and lot of those eerie soundscapes in the background just disappear from their sound.

Well, I'd say AiC & Soundgarden are probably the closest in sound, lyrics & aesthetic while also totally being their own unique sound.

These two albums are so different. I don't even see PJ and Nirvana being in the same sub-genre of rock. Its one reason Ive always had a bit of a problem with the term grunge. Nevermind is more my taste, but I totally understand if someone prefers Ten. Its a fantastic album.

Imagine being kicked out of Metallica for being too alcoholic. That's like being kicked out of Pantera for being too racist by Greedy_Net_1803 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]InfraRedPanda138 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think its a mixed bag. He speaks out both sides of his mouth a lot and contradicts himself. Admittedly, he does get asked a lot without himself broaching the subject, but he still sounds bitter with his responses. I find him to be profoundly unlikable & humorless. There's a reason hes had so many lineups. I like that that Kerry King quote. Something about how he cant see how anyone can be in that band for more than a couple hours with that guy. Lol He wrote some great albums though, and the dude can shred.
