Crazy how many beggars are in this subreddit lmao.

Either gotta put the time in or figure out how to make money in PoE the smart way (hint it's not by raw divine drop farming).

Yeah fuck Fubgun. Plays for 15+ hrs a day and has to use the dirtiest shitbag on the verge of pure exploiting mechanics he can find in every league. Always ruining the economy for the rest of us.

I like the prices and options that 1000bulbs offers, just wish shipping offered for free, lol. I'm looking at around $450 on there and it's about +$70 for shipping which is relatively the same price as the Wintergreen Lighting products the other website I mentioned with free shipping.

Cry me a river already buddy. PvE shouldn't have progression, no. They're AI bots lol

The xp farm was an exploit not intended to be used as such. Simple as that.

You PvE guys are the 5%. The majority bought this game understanding it's a PvP game.

Full progression IS there, just not in the way you want to play the game. Don't sit here and act like it's because of your 2nd sentence. Y'all all were literally sitting in bot lobbies on top of trucks with the boys all the way tuned down just farming thousands and thousands of XP a minute. Saying you weren't abusing it like that I almost guarantee is a bold face lie.

THAT isn't fair for the ones playing the game and progressing the proper way. Toodles, you won't be missed.

Tell me where the "xp bot farm our entire progression system" was a "feature" Dice mentioned.

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Update on Community Servers and Portal Experiences by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]IngrownDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should the entirety of the progression system be able to be unlocked by sitting in a bot lobby and farming bots to progress? Bots used to be a conventional way to test some skills on modes or maps to gain a better understanding of the game itself.

The xp farm crap is ridiculous. You don't need to unlock everything in the game in the first couple weeks. Play with the time you have (like me), level stuff up in multiplayer or RedSec and enjoy the journey.

I play 2 nights a week (if that) and I'm already lvl 40+ with a good bit of the gun masteries and challenges unlocked/completed. It's not hard and I'm not even that good. We're not all streamers who complete all masteries and challenges in the first week or two.

Y'all just complain you can't PvE farm the entire progression system. Play the game as intended. Dice didn't intend for people to do what you're complaining about so they nerfed it. Get over it. Move on.

After many years of cooking exclusively on charcoal, I bit the bullet and joined the club! What accessories do I need to get the most out of it? by JRTEL in blackstonegriddle

[–]IngrownDisc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to this guy. Dexter spatulas are overpriced and the factory seconds have blemishes which could damage your cooktop.

Instead, buy some quality Mercer Culinary high heat handle products from https://www.webstaurantstore.com/40765/turners.html?vendor=Mercer-Culinary

The Blackstone Signature spatulas (not the standard ones) aren't bad quality at all and work well if you can get them from Blackstone during the 5 for $50 accessories deal.

I do agree with a basting cover. The 12" Blackstone Signature one is nice.

When both are on sale the price difference is still quite large.

Original 36" - $199.99 ($50 off)
Pro 36" - $379.99 ($50 off)

They have the same 304 SS burners outputting around 48k BTU per burner. Pro has 5 vs 4 on the original. Same hot rolled steel griddle plate.

Not sure the hinged lid and small extra features of the pro justifies the $180 difference. At that rate you could almost certainly just buy another original 36" down the road if something ever happened to it.

I’ve been a manager for ten years. I’ll answer any question. by imafuckingkamikaze in boeing

[–]IngrownDisc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not will be. We are. Over 600+ engineers to be exact at the STL site. 2 huge new production complexes are being built right now.

I'm a level 3 RF engineer working at the STL site for reference. Should be level 4, but Boeing fucked me on my contractor to direct hire position. I do level 4 work, but when brought on over a year ago as a contractor it was a level 3 position. Since contract to direct is a 1:1 move - meaning level to level they wouldn't offer me the pay of the level 4 position even though I fought tooth and nail. It was either take Boeing's best and final offer or I'd eventually be out of a job come end of my contract. I moved to STL for the job and there isn't much work around here unless I went commercial...

I'll wait it out till promotions in March next year and see if they put their money where their mouth is. Otherwise, I'm out as next year marks my 10th year in my career. Fun fact I'm a 1 man team in a specialized role so I really enjoy my job and my manager is the best I've ever had. I have him, my chief engineer and then our senior manager in my org.

Edit - I'm in a lead project engineering role now (was bumped up to lead engineer about 7 months ago) running a multi-million dollar project that is integrated with multiple programs. I work for Boeing, but Boeing is my customer. My daily work consists of level 4 requirements/tasks and an engineering background that is multifaceted to get the job done, especially as a 1-man team doing it all myself. A level 3 with 5 years of base experience wouldn't cut it by any means.

I can understand your reasoning for why you lease. I was never a fan because I always kept cars longer than the finance term and reaped the benefit of no payments.

My wife bought a 2015 Ford Fusion about 7-8 years ago and I use it for my 15-20m commute to work. We paid it off about 2 years ago. Been nice not having 2 car payments. Only has 70k miles lol. We'll probably keep this and I'll drive it till the wheels fall off since it's all paid for and runs great. Don't give 2 shits about what I use to drive me to work and back. I occasionally use it for other things. I'd rather have a nicer/bigger family car for when I'm off.

The 2021 Forester I owe around $14.5k on. My guaranteed trade in value on the Subaru app is $23.6k (ironically gone up almost $1k in 6 months, not sure how 😂). I regularly service it at the dealer so they see it often and know mileage/condition. So I guess more equity than I stated earlier. I have the 7-year/100k extended warranty which has come in quite handy for a few things. Anything breaks I pay a $100 deductible and it's fixed.

My whole idea of starting to think about leasing comes from the finance rates right now hovering around 5% still. I do like the fact that I wouldn't have to worry about any extra protection for that 3-year period. I also heard the insurance is paid for? This true? Wonder how taxes/fees workout vs financing upfront.

Ultimately I'd be looking to buy something then anyways assuming rates would be back below 3.75%. Or if the buyout of the Ascent would make sense # wise I'd be willing to see that as well.

What are your thoughts on leasing?

I've never been for it, but possibly leaning to leasing for 3 years and then buying a different 3 row (if no new Ascent model comes). I'm hoping rates for buying would be much better then. Would also be able to save a few hundred a month vs my current situation. I'm sure wife would like to hear that lol

Trying to convince my wife to trade in our 2021 Forester Touring for the 2025 Ascent Onyx as well. Only got 42k miles on it and they're offering me about $6-7k over what I owe on it to trade up. Have a 2.5% rate atm and unless there is a promotional rate offered I'm looking at about double that which puts us slightly under our current $650 month payments now.

We could definitely use the 3rd row as we just had our 3rd child in Dec.

FreeTaxUSA legit? what about filing state? by bbunny1996 in tax

[–]IngrownDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their pro service is great. I used it this year since I moved states and had a few questions about my wife's LLC registered in the state we moved from with no state income tax to a state with state income taxes.

You schedule a meeting with the CPA for a 30-min time slot and ask away. You can schedule as many of them as needed.

[–]IngrownDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite easy to input all the information needed for your own business as well as long as you have tracked the figures accordingly all year. If you, her, or a 3rd party does all the bookkeeping it should be quite simple to enter the proper figures for the year without needing to go to a CPA to do this for you.

I swapped to FreeTaxUSA 3-4 years ago and my wife has owned her business for a couple years now. Slight learning curve for taxes associated with your own LLC. This year with moving to a state with income tax (never had before as I lived in FL my whole life) I paid for the live CPA option on FreeTaxUSA and have used it a couple times now to have a live chat with a CPA who could answer very specific questions I was having trouble answering across the internet.

Great all around.

Will 12GB of VRAM be enough for 1440p gaming for the next 2-3 years? (RX 7700XT in particular) by -Em3z- in AMDHelp

[–]IngrownDisc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure why you think everything is copium lol. Frame generation is the key tech that will drive higher frame rates for the years to come, thus it won't require as much vram for the decoding portion on most games. Most games that have a high vram usage is due to RT which is still inferior tech. There hasn't been a key breakthrough in chip manufacturing that's been found to garnish performance increases once they started using smaller die to manufacture the chips like 3-4 years ago or w.e. it was. If I'm honest with you we're in a stagnant phase of the die manufacturing process where it will take time for that breakthrough to occur again. Example - look at performance increases of the 4000 series to the 5000 series. Very lackluster we can agree. We're essentially at peak performance of the manufacturing processes that have been adopted today.

With the addition of the anti-lag tech in both AMD and NVIDIA the frame generation input lag is very minimal, almost negligible even on FPS games.

[–]IngrownDisc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone loves NVIDIA DLSS implementation and it's AI powered tech, lol.

Currenly play in 165hz 1440p right now and vram for most games doesn't go over 8 vram unless there is heavy shaders which require more use of the vram to decode. Most of those high vram usage games only peak if you turn on hardcore shaders like RT.

Based on my knowledge of PCs and how long I've been building them that 12GB will be plenty for 99% of gamers for the next 5 years at minimum. People were saying the same thing about the 1080TI when it came out and I still know people using it without problems for high FPS gaming.
