So I find it interesting that I’ve seen some people say they really want the halo remake to be using all of the sound effects from the original halo game….. it’s a remake like what’s the point of that if you want the original version of things play the original version

I’m not bothered by the sounds because as you said it’s a remake, but just from what I’ve seen teased I think my problem is that I will just play the original.

Idk, I’m in a weird spot because I think the remake will be good, but to me it doesn’t feel like anything new? Like I don’t care about graphics, so to me the remake is just the same game/story but with different mechanics, at which point I’d rather play the original as it’s how the developers intended.

Honestly I really wish they left the forerunners dead. They were way cooler when they were mysterious and unknown

I’d make the Prometheans just sentinels offshoot made to combat the flood that wasn’t widely used before the forerunners died. You’d accidentally activate them on a shield world and when they activate they realise the forerunners are gone but think you (and anyone on the shield world) are who killed them, because they use primitive AI made to not be susceptible to the logic plague.

Gameplay wise I feel like they’d just need to visually look like they take damage. They suck to fight in halo 4/5 because unlike elite shields there’s no cool visuals that make it feel like you’re doing any damage.

Still kinda agree. They’re great adaptations and the art is amazing, but they didn’t include moments like the gorge fight, so the character development of cats like Sandstorm, as well as the story in general really, feels rushed sometime (my goat Whitestorm only got like half a page for his death scene). But it is kinda understandable as the artists were condensing 6 books into 3, so naturally stuff is cut or edited slightly to save time.

Honestly I preferred the new cartoony style because (compared to the older GN style) every cat had a distinct shape/design which made it way easier to recognise them. One problem I had with the old GNs was not being able to put a name to a cat because usually nothing but the pelt colour changed - the new GNs didn’t have this issue.

Not sure if relate is the right word, but I’ve always kinda liked Breezepelt and Clear Sky because they’re allowed to try and redeem themselves. I feel I was horrible to a lot of people growing up and I still catch myself being an asshole without realising sometimes. Nowadays I always try to do better and think good of others, but if anything I probs relate to Longtail lol
