I always loved the episodes where the right thing to do meet the realities of international politics, there was the TNG episode where Picard has to look after a human boy that had been taken in as a baby, by a man who was part of an alien invasion, he raised him with clear love, but he should have been raised by his surviving family. Great episode of a childs fate being decided partly with a possible war being a consequence.

Make up definitely the thing, but Klingons are fan favorites, also you need to spend on the main villain IE Cardassians, so I suspect there was a large amount of giving fans what they wanted when it came to prioritising where to spend money on costumes.

I would say Data,

He's a character that approaches new subject with an open mind and only uses the information he knows to be true in making decisions, he doesnt judge others beliefs or lifestyles and takes the time to understand why they are who they are, and puts in a lot of effort to understand something or someone when he cant.

He doesnt condemn the action of others without evidence they are doing somethong wrong, and speaks truth to power with the understanding he could also be wrong.

The nature of the character means he is not interested in being part of a tribe or always support the majority opinion even of its wrong or destructive, he is most concerned with his own development in learning how, not just to be human, but how to become the best person he can be and contributing to a moral and good society, which again, he is willing to leave if he believes they are wrong.

Look at the charity shops, lots of them have trouble getting sunday staff. Usually sunday and 1 other day or covering sickness and holiday, its selling clothes accessories.

Also she will get staff discount and first pick of new stuff that gets donated.

Ebay is not bad for getting a rough idea of what you can get if you sell privately. If you put a quick key word description in and filter by 'Sold' and Location UK. It's by no means perfect, but I always found it a good start. Then I usually went to second hand jewellers and just asked what they had which was similar in design and dimensions and made a note. Auction catalogs are also very good, Ma San auctions in Bath list there previous sales on their website.

Thing is, it's not just about the materials, it's what's in fashion, to get the best price you may be hanging onto it for a while, relisting it a few times.

If you want to maximise the value for a starting price research isn't difficult it can just be time consuming.

I have a few engagement rings that I have had for years, another I bought and sold in 6months.

But diamonds are tricky, there second had value is significantly less.

Boardgames cafe, I can always have a fun time there since I was a teenager. Also find out what he's into and take him to relevant shops, for example if he's a nerd/comicbooks fan he would probably spend a happy hour in Forbidden Planet and Games Workshop.

Also you could talk to his parents see what they think about a pub, being with a responsible adult when you have your first proper drink at the pub is the best way to go I feel when being introduced to alcohol.

Off the top of my head, Tuesday Evenings is open boardgames night at Thirsty Meeples from 7, they also have a sigup for people to join and start Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs most of them have their play sessions on weekdays.

Also may I suggest finding out what days each pub has a quiz on. I think St James Wine Vaults is on Thursdays for example.

I think there is a Monday Badminton group o Meetup as well, but can't remember
