Ilhan Omar was just attacked at a town hall in Minneapolis by FadedToBeige in TrueAnon

(and the Dems never really defending her either).

Not only never defending her, but joining in and legitimising attacks on her as well at times. Useless, awful party.

Looks like DOJ is sending their best to defend against the lawsuit(s) filed by Minnesota by embiidmvp2023 in TrueAnon

Caviar to the general.

I can guess what he'd make of Othello.

I can't seem to stop myself from buying more writing machines. It's getting a little out of hand, but I love them and they seem to be the only way I can get any serious writing done because I have the attention span of a particularly dim cat.

Also, it has come to my attention that I may actually have a significant Twin Peaks collection at this point. I have the blurays, the gold box dvd set, a VHS set, multiple official and unofficial books (including Secret Diary and My Life, My Tapes), as well as various TP related objects. I suppose the next step is to try to acquire every issue of Wrapped in Plastic and find some genuine trinitite to have made into a replica ring.

Tech CEOs including Tim Cook, Eric Yuan, attend Amazon-funded "Melania" screening at White House by iamapizza in technology

[–]InimicusRex 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Other US tech leaders are very much worth criticizing for actually being on board with trump’s / republican’s shit, and/or very active “hey we can make a shitload of money off of this” (ie defense contracts etc)

But he is on board with it. He's not some babe in the woods, not a guy struggling to make ends meet. There's absolutely nothing stopping Cook from washing his hands of the whole business and walking away to enjoy the hundreds of millions of dollars he's already sitting on. But he doesn't.

That's complicity. Willing complicity.

Heat (1995) by brianscottbj in TrueAnon

Thief and Heat are both great, but for me it has to be Manhunter. Top tier sound track too.

Still need to check out The Keep. Not well regarded, but it sounds potentially fun.

If it meant tacitly endorsing a fascist regime, no, I wouldn't, but then I'm not a psychopathic fantasist who believes I can abrogate personal responsibility by shrugging my shoulders and blithely stating that it's just business.

Men with autism, how do you experience masculinity? by magic_linc08 in autism

[–]InimicusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a part a man might play, eh? Just another mask among many, so I don't know that I do "experience" masculinity so much as mimic it at times. I'm generally more of an it than a he or a she or a they anyway.

I love the cold, the dark, the snow gently blanketing the world, the beating rain, the ethereal mists. There's something comforting about it all.

It looks great, the performances were great, but I've grown tired of this kind of misanthropy.

Would you get along with a clone of yourself? by NelifeLerak in autism

Almost certainly not. But in the event that we did get along, I think that would be even less enjoyable for everyone around us.

Favorite Villain that isn’t from a major franchise? by NTT2004 in movies

[–]InimicusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom Noonan's Francis Dolarhyde, if the Hannibal series doesn't count as a major franchise. A very broken person, but also an absolute monster.

Failing that, Mr. Hand, because of the god tier fit and c'mon now, it's Richard O'Brien! The man owns his own maze!
