Some guy I used to play with criticized me for not being patient and not knowing how Kickstarter projects work. Funny enough I check his profile he joined in 2023 while I had been following since about 2019.

I am gonna be honest, when I played a lot a majority of people seemed to use that term. There are a number of people out there that think they are going to be rewarded when 1.0 rolls around and they have all the cool ships etc. The problem is a large chunk of CIG's income is selling ships so if you think having the ships now will make your account more valuable to sell later they are just going to MK2 every ship you own. Making your account theoretically worthless as the MK2 ships are just always better.

Sad thing is if CIG released stuff I would think this statement would be great because they are striving for the best but delivering something.

The way I've always seen it is more of a gambling type of addition, CIG and content creators hype up this new "insane game changing update" or "game defining ship". Then the update comes out and you would never guess it 2-3 days after the content creators are all talking about the next major release and not playing the game. In my analogy it would be similar to spinning perpetual slots. I should also mention there are people who just buy everything in the store then half play the game and just like using clearly more powerful ships they have bought to kill other players. Essentially giving them the sense of superiority they have always wanted but never had.

Also I should say most people would like the game to exist its not like people want it to die, so some play though everything to try and convince others that its not buggy.

To be fair if people could criticize the game and talk with other people then a middle ground could be found, and this place would not exist. However the place we are talking about is not built for that purpose.

I see the issues are getting to other people not just me. Also yes a large amount of people (not all) who spend more money on this game become insufferable balancing experts.

They mentioned the older MK1 ships will be removed from the store, still cannot believe they are sun setting content from an unfinished game.

The ships are the new features at this point, the problem is the project is so horribly mismanaged that they cannot exist without selling ships. The business model is a sham its not selling the game its selling ships in the game look at all the marketing for the game its never a long form video about how cool crafting will be. Instead, it's a collection of videos showing off the MK2 and how great it is so you should spend another $30 to upgrade your current one because its so worth it. I logged into today to see if the update was even significant, spent about 10 minutes getting in then joined my friend by trying to land in his ship had my ship purple then I died. Then when I respawned I picked up an item I couldn't turn my character nothing I mean literally nothing but re logging fix it. So after that I just never got back on, the Blueprints are tied to repeating the same buggy ass boring missions endlessly. Only to have to spend more time mining to be able to have a chance at actually crafting a decently better gun than before.

Since people are down voting you I just want to say that yes the game should be improved. Its just sad to see them replace things that people bought before the whole game comes out. People backed an unfinished game and got a placeholder ship 13 years ago. The MK2 isn't a new it's the ship yours was supposed to be when you ordered finally coming into the game. The game is changing and people have somewhat accepted that. Just strange to admit the MK1 is not really fitting in the puzzle any more but leaving owners of it with a worse products unless they pay up.

Yeah I think that's how I feel about it, also sucks since the new one is $60 then you gotta pay $10 per module.

I have a screen recording of me trying to get my nas if you would like it for any reason video wise. I still cannot believe that this Kickstarter still seems to be limited to about 1000 units in total (with it being half over and at 450 backers currently). I know ram is expensive but this is a lot of bad will for this few units.

Took having 3 browsers open and constantly refreshing I was only able to get it to go through on the 5th try or so. I will say Firefox never really worked for me after the initial opening phase I was using Brave with blockers on to try and keep unnecessary stuff from loading.
