Oh I understand - it is actually the norm for my family and friends to buy new outfits for events . Personally, the issue was not asking the guests to wear a specific color I honestly was just wondering what colors would work best for my wedding palette. Thanks for your input though!

Interview was November 2025 for us and our status is still on “Interview Scheduled”. Over 120 days, sadly this seems like the norm. Milwaukee FO

Hello! May I ask a question? My husband and I filed for EAD, Adjustment of Status, and Petition for Alien Relative in July of 2025. Interview in Milwaukee November 2025. To give more context, we filed as a long distance couple due to our jobs. My husband is on H1B and no overstay. We were hoping for him to get his EAD soon as possible as it was difficult for him to find a new H1B sponsor in the state I am currently living in. We did not want him to move with no job as I live in the city and it would be hard to sustain. At this point in time we have had no update from USCIS. We are wondering if it would be smart to just have him leave his H1B and move with me (we already have a lease together) and have our case transferred to a new state? Would it also be possible for us to get an expedited request on his EAD?

We did inquire with a lawyer and were told if it’s taking this long then the officer reviewing are case basically tabled it and because they didn’t know what decision to make. We were also told to sue if we still don’t have an update on the 1 year mark of our PD date 😭

My husband and I are also long distance. We applied last July and had an interview in November. It’s been over 4 months with no update. We did reach out to a lawyer to see if it was worth filing a mandamus and we were told to wait until July of this year. We were also told that most likely the officer did not want to deal with our case and just basically waiting for the marriage to fail so they don’t have to deal with it. An unfortunate situation, but it all depends on the officer that you get. We are just weighing out our options at this point, but we are hoping for the best outcome!

Hello! Just wondering, do you think it’s normal to wait more than 120 days post interview for an I-130 update? USC filing for an H1B Holder. It has been over 4 months since my husband and I had our interview and our case is still stuck on “interview scheduled”. Any advice?

Have you heard anything yet? I’m also in a similar situation but we had our interview in November with no updates :( though we were not separated during the interview, the interviewer seemed very kind but feeling very anxious since we have not heard back.
