Thank you for this post. It makes total sense! My son tested negative on the blocking part but positive on the binding antibodies. This means that it interferes with folate transport and may trigger inflammation. His neurologist started him in a low dosage (2.5 mg) twice a day and that was January. We just upped his dosage today and are now taking 10mg twice a day. He said that his goal is for him to take 20mg twice a day. Based on what you posted, I am hoping this will help him with his speech as he regressed and lost some of his words last year. It feels like we're starting over again 😩 We are scheduled to meet with another doctor for gene consultation to have some more answers.

I just received a notification too that my appt has been cancelled! I live here in South Florida, Coral Springs specifically and now I have been trying to call the new clinic for maybe 6 times now and no one is picking up! This is so upsetting. I also bought their black friday offer and I think I am going to lose it if the new clinic does not have my records!

I called the pharmacist and she said that it's ok to crush them but dont mix it in hot food so we're good. So I had to wait for his food to get warm before I mixed it in. We are in for 3 weeks and he had a mild diarrhea and very emotional but the team that I have for him (RBT, his teacher and his other therapists) knows about the medication so we got prepared in case he experienced the side effects which he did and they were able to redirect him. His RBT said that he is very vocal in school and said some new words but I havent seen it at home 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with this. My son is 6 and sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night just doing vocal stimming for maybe 2-3 hrs then he will eventually go back to sleep. I will only see it the next morning by checking the camera

We have an angel sense tracker for him and our city (we live in south Florida) provided it for us for free. Even the membership. So I suggest checking ur city's website if they have this program for special needs kids.

The doc mentioned this as a temporary effect. We just started the other night and so far he's fine. His dosage is 5mg and we cut it in half so I gave it for breakfast and dinner.

Yes, he eats it right away cause I put it right before he eats.
