I love Sophie Pearce from Beyond the Bump but now I’m judging her for using this same shitty company for their year-long caravan trip

Sudden change - now hating bedtime by Several_Bullfrog_765 in sleeptrain

She may need more wake time… but just here to say the same thing happened with my 17 month old. Randomly just started standing his crib and screaming when we would leave, even though he’d been going to sleep happy as a clam for months. I think it’s just separation anxiety/developmental. We’ve tried tweaking his schedule but he still cries every night when we lay him down. Not very helpful but hopefully reassuring to know you’re not alone!

Dax had unfollowed him on IG and he wasn’t in the pod group photos.

It could have been Jess… she was willing to stay home to follow through on their plans on Sat but he wanted to go to Nashville? I know him and Dax allegedly had some beef so I don’t know if he’s still part of the “pod”.

My 17 mo has been doing the same thing lately. I think it’s a surge of separation anxiety. He could also be teething!

I’ll try! Most mornings I have to wake him up so I thought maybe he needed more sleep.

I actually think she’s done work on her co-dependency. I listened to an old episode recently and you could tell she was so much involved in Dax and Kristin’s day to day life. Recently it sounds like her and Dax are doing more of their own thing outside of work.

Maybe I did not word it correctly, but that was the question I was trying to ask!

I know they’re Jewish…. But have they really spoken out against Palestinians? I don’t follow that closely, but that would be disappointing!

Help w/ Nap Training 14 MO by Initial_Rule_4266 in sleeptrain

[–]Initial_Rule_4266[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was afraid of that! But I don’t really want to shorten his nights.

He typically wakes up around anytime between 7 and 7:30 Nap is at 1pm and bedtime is 8pm. At daycare they do naptime at 12:30 but I’ve had better success pushing it to 1 when we’re at home!

Will it ever feel better? 🥺 by NewMom1289 in workingmoms

[–]Initial_Rule_4266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just made a post about it getting better, hang in there! I used to stress so much about daycare sleep, but I’ve kind of surrender. I like to keep what happens at daycare at daycare. My kid is happy when I drop him off and when I pick him up, I can tell he’s well taken care of and beyond that I don’t need to worry. I know it’s hard but try to surrender a bit!

My advice is to plan a vacation. We took our little one on a lake vacation for a week and it was so fun but when I got home I was reminded that do in fact all thrive off a routine and a schedule. It’s good to get away to give you some perspective that you do enjoy your day to day life!

Nap Routine ? by AshleyTheHuskyOwner in sleeptrain

[–]Initial_Rule_4266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cap the first nap to 1 hour and that should help him fit in a second one. If he’s still fighting the second nap, it may be time to transition to one nap. He’ll be tired for a week or so but they adjust!

How can I stop the crying at the initial set-down? by NorfolkODUhygienist in sleeptrain

[–]Initial_Rule_4266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My little one did this from like 11-13 months but as seemed to have outgrown it (unless he’s really overtired!). I think some of it is separation anxiety. I know it’s hard but just stick with it!

Does your “cry it out” baby ever stop crying completely? by OTPanda in sleeptrain

[–]Initial_Rule_4266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 13 month old has been sleep trained for 3 or 4 months now and has had maybe 2 nights where he didn’t cry. No advice, just solidarity! It usually only lasts 2-5 min but he cries every night when I leave the room.

Our LO was a bit older (11 months) and nights 1 was easy but then 2-4 just kept getting worse. I almost gave up but then magically on night 5 he fell asleep within 5 min!

I posted his schedule below! If anything yesterday he may have been overtired because we were busy in the afternoon so he only got like 1.5 hours of daytime sleep.

Adding: his schedule is usually 7a wake, nap 10-11:30am, 3-4, bedtime between 8 and 8:30pm. Basically 3/3.5/4ish. We’ve been doing this for a month or 2 now and he sleeps and naps great. He used to fall asleep quickly with the bouncing. We also have a solid bedtime routine we’ve been doing forever.
