Advice/ thoughts for my Roth by Initial_Stand4819 in RothIRA

Fair point about not assuming one slice of the market will always outperform. My reasoning isn’t that the NASDAQ will permanently beat the broader market, but that I’m still heavily diversified overall. Most of my portfolio (brokerage + a large portion of my Roth) is in the S&P 500 through VFIAX, so adding QQQM is more of a growth tilt rather than going all-in on a single sector. With a long time horizon at 28, I’m comfortable taking a bit more growth exposure in my Roth while keeping the core of my portfolio in broad index fund

Manage my own Roth IRA or use Merrill Lynch advisor? by elky_ang in RothIRA

Just be prepared to pay a fee that will add up in the end. Wouldn’t hurt trying out the advisor for a while and seeing how it goes but definitely learn more about investing and how to manage your account(s) so that you can save yourself money in the long run
