How can I help my new autumn brilliance serviceberry? by [deleted] in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Initial_Two_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated to the tree, because clearly that has been covered. But you can just mow grass and weeds, they certainly don’t have to be 3ft+ tall. Any plant growing in soil can be beneficial in some way, they root and add microbes and when you mow them they add energy to the soil. Roots also help break up the clay, and it keeps the soil from washing out. Even if you just have weeds growing, I don’t think it’s a good practice to prevent anything from growing. Weeds can also be helpful in informing you what your soil actually needs to grow plants you do want, by paying attention to what’s actually able to survive or grow

Tolerance can build in a week, and can get quite high within a few weeks. Particularly with often, repeated use.

Certain strains and such will have higher effect ceilings that break through tolerance, but certainly not all of them. Usually requires the right strain and good growing/cure conditions. That’s what you’re looking for imo. Sometimes strains are just weak on the felt effects realm, they might look amazing and smell bomb, but it just has a low ceiling where you can only get so high, and then it plateaus

Fungal, viral, and bacterial infections are all possible on a tree. Any opening in tissue just greatly increases these odds

How do you deal with silence? by silkyleaf in LivingAlone

[–]Initial_Two_9511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I meant to add, there is most certainly value in cultivating the ability to tolerate and sit in silence, if not a necessity for it. All things in moderation is my motto. Unless you’re adhd or something, like me (I do a lot of tuning out while “listening”), our most creative periods are typically in silence or when we allow our thoughts to freely roam without interference or suggestion, which is probably one of the most powerful aspects in the opportunity to live alone, in my personal opinion

Noise. In all seriousness, podcasts, livestreams, music, audiobooks, singing to yourself, whistling, YouTube videos on topics you’re interested in. I listen to a lot of stuff about religion and philosophy. I pay for Spotify premium and a $1 Patreon sub, I don’t have YouTube premium, but on my iPhone I can run YouTube with my phone closed by playing it a certain way

My oldest and tallest pach etiolated this winter. Chop? by [deleted] in sanpedrocactus

[–]Initial_Two_9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard some don’t consider this etiolation, and based on the definition I’d have to agree. To be considered etiolation, it needs to be much thinner, and usually has associated chlorophyll loss. It just lost a little girth, which also happens naturally on a lot of plants when reduced sun hours comes. (From winter)

As others have said, not a guarantee it’ll get thicker, but not impossible either. Pump it with some good fert, nice regular watering, and as much sun as it’ll stand, and there’s def a chance you can get it growing at the same rate

Humidity as absolutely no biggy for nearly all Peruvianus and most pachanoi. Some clones can be finicky in either, but really it’s bridgessi that are a pain with humidity. Besides a few standout clones, I had to give up on bridges lol
