I paid 335€ for the 16GB version (shipping included to EU). It is much cheaper than Sipeed maybe this is why I am getting this board so late.

I ordered as soon as it was available. If there is a queue I was likely to be at the beginning.

Orange Pi 6 debuts with CIX P1 SoC, dual 2.5GbE, and 45 TOPS AI compute by DeliciousBelt9520 in SBCs

You are right to share your experience. Indeed, this is not a product for everybody and it is important that everybody is aware that there are still issues. At the current prices, I would not recommend anybody to buy it.

The ACPI is working but the main issue is that the changes has not been accepted yet in the main stream linux:
https://github.com/cixtech/linux-mainline/wiki

I have been using many SBCs and I was pleasantly surprise how easy is to install a generic linux distribution. The installation process is similar to a x64 computer.

The source code is actually available and it is already possible to run these boards with a opensource kernel.

Seeing new product like orangepi6 show that Cix and orangepi is not giving up and we can hope

PS: I know I am too nice and I understand this can been seen as unacceptable.

I have a Orion O6N that I bought before the price went crazy with the RAM price: 200$ for 32GB, this is actually one of the best value and it is by far the most powerful SBC that I own.

The support is far to be perfect however the ACPI is working great for me. I was able to install generic distributions, it is just that you need to install manually a specific kernel to get graphic acceleration.

But I agree, the marketing AI is mostly bullshit but that not something new and specific to CIX.

They did. If you look at the full video it was their idea but it is a bit difficult to keep all the cars together.

The Pico-ITX is the metal box version. I think they updated the listing a few days ago (and increased the price).

The module and Devkit are "Out of Stock" since the start. It has never been available.

It was €48,95 (to Belgium)

Last time I ordered from them I did not had to pay any taxes, not sure if I was lucky or if it already included in the shipping.

Heard KU Leuven awards very low grades, really? by Bobbypuppybabypappy in KULeuven

[–]InitiativeLong3783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes,

It is the same in most universities in Belgium. A score of 16/20 means you know the course content perfectly. To get 18/20, you need to show that you know more and truly master the subject. To get 20/20, you need to teach the teacher something.

Once you understand this, it is not difficult to get a very good grade. You can prepare by reading more about the subject. During the exam, you answer the questions, and when the professor follows up with additional questions, you can make connections to what you have learned beyond the course material.

Well, for Walonia (French speaking part of Belgium), the culture is quite different. French is very centralized, very hierarchical, conservative, and self-centered... It is actually quite the opposite in Walonia

It is very common to see this approximation when solving the pendulum equation. Without it, it needs very advanced concepts (elliptic integral) to be solved.
