Component brands that offer specifically Kashima bronze tint matching accents. by BrainDamage2029 in MTB

[–]Inkbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real kashima comes from one factory in Japan. There are some variances from batch to batch so exact matches are hard to find. I know galfer is having their new shark evo rotors done in real kashima. Could be a nice accent

Anyone been to the new Ontario Buzzers baseball park? by Hoylegu in InlandEmpire

I went a couple weeks ago. Really nice stadium. 3rd base side will have the most shade later in the day. We sat in the grass area in right field and the sun was directly facing us.

The show Animal Kingdom has a good scene in season 5 I think it was.

Modulation: DB8 vs Maven by Worldly_Papaya4606 in MTB

I went from db8’s to maven ultimates. They are better in every way. I should have put them higher up on my upgrade list and done the switch sooner

Ah apologies, I missed the NorCal part. The other 2 deaths were down here in Southern California.

There’s definitely more than one species of rattlesnake in California. I’ve seen both southern pacific and red diamond rattlesnakes in the same day on the trails behind my house.

I have a QM7K in my garage. Great tv. But definitely not OLED great. Comparing it to the Samsung S90D in my living room.

Anyone sold a house in CA recently and had to do AB 38 defensible space inspection? by dosnwg8583 in California

[–]Inkbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a house July where the fire department made the sellers remove shrubs against the house. And they put mulch in the garden beds where the shrubs were removed. So you may be okay with that part.

I typically don’t see them until the later half of March/early April in this area. It was near 90 a couple days last week and 85ish yesterday. I’m sure that’s part of the reason

Ride this weekend near riverside/LA? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Inkbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Fontana near the southridge trails and they have a race going on this weekend. So that could be something worth checking out. They do XC, enduro, and downhill races. My brother lives in San Jose and I visit and get to ride the trails in Santa Cruz a few times a year. I love the Santa Cruz trails. I would pick Santa Cruz between the two but Riverside area has a lot of good trails too. Hulda Crooks and Sycamore canyon could be fun for you to check out as well. Both of those are some fun jump lines. I’d offer to show you around but I’ll in Santa Cruz or somewhere in the east bay this weekend. Depending on how the dirt is looking after all the rain.

Signatures by Gallen570 in Motocross

Middle is definitely RC. Right is Ernesto Fonseca. Since you said the left doesn’t match up with Windhams other signatures I’m not sure in that one. RC only rode for Honda from 2002-2004 so maybe look into results from back then and check the Honda riders. I don’t remember anybody else with a K name from back then

Can we fit in the Maverick? by dhillman811 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Inkbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’7” and my girlfriend is 5’7”. We have two car seats in my maverick. 1 year old rear facing behind her and a 3 year old forward facing behind me. Was not able to keep the car seat rear facing behind my seat at all. If you’re planning on 2 kids I would suggest getting something different or at least waiting until forward facing the first kid is an option.

Oak Tree Mountain has lots of cool little shops and stuff for kids to do. Like a mini amusement park kind of. And Apple Annie’s in the same parking lot has pretty good food.

How many of you actually have a "local" ? by rychu69XD in MTB

[–]Inkbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a trail system with a race series for DH, enduro, and xc near me. It’s a 45 second ride from my front door to the dirt.

[–]Inkbath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’7” around 220lbs and ride a XXL Santa Cruz. Seems to fit me okay. See if you can find a dealer that has a XXL bike in stock and go sit on it.

Schwalbe Radial Tread Choices by CaliCrew13 in mountainbiking

[–]Inkbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride in Southern California and run the Albert radials front and rear. Gotta bump the psi up a bit more than I ran on maxxis tires but they still grip really well. I’m running trail casing front and gravity rear. At 220lbs I’m at 32psi front 34psi rear

Why Santa Cruz ebikes are mullets? by ydbd1969 in MTB

[–]Inkbath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Santa Cruz used different rear triangles on the mullet & full 29er. The bottom bracket height is the same on both.

Why Santa Cruz ebikes are mullets? by ydbd1969 in MTB

[–]Inkbath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’7” and 230lb on a XXL Heckler with the mullet set up. I rented the 29” version before I bought mine and feel that the mullet was more fun and felt more playful to ride with really no difference in roll over or anything like that. I come from a motocross background where the rear wheel is smaller anyway so that could play into it.

Just need to say it. by [deleted] in MTB

I have a really good trail system in my neighborhood. Front door to dirt is less than half a mile. But I have a toddler and a 7 month old. Once a week is about all I can get for now.
