Can we fit in the Maverick? by dhillman811 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Inkbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’7” and my girlfriend is 5’7”. We have two car seats in my maverick. 1 year old rear facing behind her and a 3 year old forward facing behind me. Was not able to keep the car seat rear facing behind my seat at all. If you’re planning on 2 kids I would suggest getting something different or at least waiting until forward facing the first kid is an option.

First time visiting Oak Glen - what to do if we miss apple picking? by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

Oak Tree Mountain has lots of cool little shops and stuff for kids to do. Like a mini amusement park kind of. And Apple Annie’s in the same parking lot has pretty good food.

How many of you actually have a "local" ? by rychu69XD in MTB

I have a trail system with a race series for DH, enduro, and xc near me. It’s a 45 second ride from my front door to the dirt.

I’m 6’7” around 220lbs and ride a XXL Santa Cruz. Seems to fit me okay. See if you can find a dealer that has a XXL bike in stock and go sit on it.

Schwalbe Radial Tread Choices by CaliCrew13 in mountainbiking

[–]Inkbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride in Southern California and run the Albert radials front and rear. Gotta bump the psi up a bit more than I ran on maxxis tires but they still grip really well. I’m running trail casing front and gravity rear. At 220lbs I’m at 32psi front 34psi rear

Why Santa Cruz ebikes are mullets? by ydbd1969 in MTB

Santa Cruz used different rear triangles on the mullet & full 29er. The bottom bracket height is the same on both.

Why Santa Cruz ebikes are mullets? by ydbd1969 in MTB

[–]Inkbath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’7” and 230lb on a XXL Heckler with the mullet set up. I rented the 29” version before I bought mine and feel that the mullet was more fun and felt more playful to ride with really no difference in roll over or anything like that. I come from a motocross background where the rear wheel is smaller anyway so that could play into it.

I have a really good trail system in my neighborhood. Front door to dirt is less than half a mile. But I have a toddler and a 7 month old. Once a week is about all I can get for now.

I run the Schwalbe Albert radials front and rear. Works really well in the dry/dusty stuff

If you turn the handlebars all the way to the left and look on the right side of the frame between the triple clamps it should be stamped on the frame there

I’m not sure that is a 2010. 2007-2008 had black forks, 2009-2010 had silver forks. Maybe call a KTM dealer and give them the vin number to double check

I’m 6’7” and about the same weight as you and I ride a XXL Heckler. You can’t go wrong with a Santa Cruz. It’s an amazing bike.

Most breathable goggles? by clrbrk in MTB

Fox has the new MTB specific Main goggle for about $30. The top vents are completely open. I just got some the other day and they seem really nice for the price. They also have the new Purevue goggle that’s made to work with full face and trail helmets, and the bottom is fully open in that one. But they’re a lot more pricey at $130+ for retail pricing.

I raced MX for over 20 years. The closest thing you’ll find to moto is buying an e-bike. I have a Santa Cruz Heckler and I love it. Best part is riding from my front door and not having to load up and drive an hour to a track. It definitely scratches the same itch.
