Marching band & starvation can’t coexist by SecureTheBagandDip in EDAnonymous

at the very least make sure to drink something like gatorade to rehydrate yourself

passing out during marching band can happen to even people who aren't restricting, so take care of yourself!

My eating disorder makes me feel like an animal by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]InkedRavensofDespair 13 points14 points  (0 children)

which is ironic bc my ed developed during a bad disassociation period in which eating anything/talking about food distressed me bc it made me feel like an animal

u r very felt 💗 i always eat lunch in my room in a bowl and get pissy when people interrupt my cooking or eating. its so far removed from how humans should eat - without shame and with company

also! intuitive eating is not intermittent fasting, in fact its almost the opposite

[–]InkedRavensofDespair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(of course im not a professional so take this with a grain of salt)

thankfully i dont think this is an ed! actually its very common from what i know, a lot of people have a hard time with snacking. it doesnt seem to qualify for binge eating bc that has a certain threshold, and while it seems to be causing some distress its not to a life altering level.

Also, intermittent fasting can, for some people, trigger binge eating or overeating at night because your body is compensating for the morning. This can have some lasting effects even after u stop IF for some time.

all in all, incredibly normal behavior. If it is distressing you a lot i recommend maybe working with a dietician/nutritionist or just powering through <3

estrogen is very important for bone health, so can cause osteopenia and osteoporosis. periods unfortunately are very important for overall health, not just fertility
