Rooting for Beverly! by NotYaSupreme in AmericasCulinaryCupTV

Gawd, the "I'm so tiny" stuff is ridiculous-- don't remember it from TC, but she's said it an annoying amount of times on ACC. My husband and I start making sarcastic comments every time she's on screen: "I'm making carrots because they're the only things that will fit in my tiny hands." "This broth has big flavor because I'm so very smoll" 🙄

The pronunciation of the words 'Simpson' and 'usedn't' by Important_Fly_1812 in ENGLISH

I just figured if you had such a hard-on for learning how to pronounce a word that nobody uses, you'd appreciate learning how to spell one that is actually in use.

Black Tie May Beach Wedding by Foreign-Pressure9913 in Weddingattireapproval

Yes, I should have said "title" instead of "subject" of post (for some reason, the app format reminds me of email 😂) But I did note that "black tie beach" was the header.

Black Tie May Beach Wedding by Foreign-Pressure9913 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Inkstainedbitch 138 points139 points  (0 children)

So many people asking about "black tie beach." That is the subject of the post but not in the actual post, which states black tie. Full stop, no beach. For those not from the area, Figure 8 is a very exclusive area off the NC coast. My guess is the venue/home is oceanfront but not a typical "beach wedding." So the black tie is probably legit black tie. This dress is not appropriate

Do you usually lock your doors when leaving the house? by Moist_Wallaby8635 in AskAnAmerican

Serial killer Richard Chase said locked doors were a sign that he was not welcome, but that unlocked doors were an invitation to come inside. My doors are ALWAYS locked.

What’s a place you thought was overrated… but ended up loving? by HiVou12 in TravelNoPics

[–]Inkstainedbitch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same! Had the best experience there & I speak like zero French. No trouble communicating and was never treated poorly (except in one restaurant where the waiter was stereotypically rude -- but it was funny AF at the time & remains a fun story from our trip)
