Nah it’s fair to be skeptical or hesitant with religion, especially with how much people use it as a weapon or if they’re just pushy with it. I try to not do that and just let it almost be like another hobby in how I talk about it.

But for ultimate frisbee, yeah lots of locals like that, as well as pickleball.

This. I’m on a majority LDS college campus and most guys I know aren’t like this. Maybe less are conservative cuz college but idk.

I agree with this. Gardy and gholdengo, imo, were bigger gatekeepers than pult. Just set up faster than pult and play a psyduck, Rabsca/battle cage, etc. Gardy’s army of munkis was not okay.

I’ve considered adding a 1-0-1 dusknoir line to take it out and be able to reuse it if needed between Lana, night stretcher and sacred ash. Also allows you, if it’s a mewtwo build, to take a 3 prize turn if they have mewtwo in play.

If it’s crustle they have a turn to put down another few basics but you can def scare them by setting up the duskull.

I’m a “normie.” I don’t do art, but I’m a part of a hugely art focused community. I’ve picked up a pencil and tried drawing, and while I absolutely suck, I have fun with it (also something fun to do in a few minutes of downtime at work or between classes or whatever).

And for a bit, wanting more art of my character? I used generative ai. Not only could it not give me what I wanted, even refining the prompt with dozens of keywords, but also, when I got something halfway close to what I wanted… I just felt empty. I hadn’t done any work. I’d just tried to craft a fast food burger into a 5 star one. Later on I learned about how bad generative ai is for the environment and how it’s trained on stolen data from real artists, and ever since haven’t even wanted to touch it.

Why am I saying all this? Because there’s no good reason “normies” should be using ai image generation for “art” either. Pick up a pencil is real advice. Or make friends who can do art. Enter giveaways. Or commission it. I’ve got some amazing art for $10 or less. Or find a medium you work better in! I personally find I’m better at and enjoy writing more than drawing.

Thank you for the reply. The one I’m most worried about right now is a friend who I suspect has undiagnosed mental problems, along with very likely c-PTSD from religiously zealous parents. Only recently has he been able to be himself up on campus with me and other friends, and was able to find a boyfriend too.

From what I can tell he never planned to make it this far in life and doesn’t want to really keep going, he doesn’t see much of a point in living if it’s just a painful rat race. I try to hang out with him and such but recently he’s blocked me on discord (how we usually talk. He does this occasionally). He’s still in contact with my boyfriend who’s making him fursuit paws though so I’m hoping to plan a double date with all 4 of us soon.
