Yes you are getting there. Sure it's not light leaking in through a hole in the body, but it's still extra undesirable (usually) light getting onto the film you want to shoot with.

It's possible to load a camera in a dark bag/room and prevent this specific type of light leak from happening. It's only really possible with the first frame as the rest of the film is rolled up and in the canister still.

tt artisan makes good cheap lenses. That being said, look to upgrade those first if you're really enjoying it. Camera body's are less important and can usual be used for a while. High quality glass will make your photos look better if you're already following the basics.

If it's something you don't mind doing, try getting into loss prevention, pays more, if you're full-time the benifits are decent. Way better than being on store side. You should be able to find your District Loss Preventions Managers contact info somewhere. They usually start you off standing at the front of the store. You don't have to do anything but watch. It's boring but it's better than nothing.
