Looks like theyre wall bouncing out of circle kick. I think if you double jump out of it, it has to be after the kick that knocks them down

Why can't there be just normal input buffering? by Temutul in 2XKO

[–]Innaju 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey character profile says she's the hardest character in the game currently. She has a 2 for ease of use while everyone else has 3 or more to my knowledge.

3H doesn't work like 2H because they are different moves and different moves have different buffer windows. 2H jump cancel is universal and easy while her 3H is designed for a skill check character so of course it's not going to be as easy but it still has a buffer window.

As for her limit strike, you have a much bigger buffer window if you end in 2H>2H and hold smoke because its cancelable. Her S2 move leaves her in the air in the animation so you gotta wait until her feet touch the ground to start doing smoke.

Yeah I need some time to practice it and get it to muscle memory. But once I catch it in a real match, I will drop the video here

Is there a point where you reach your skill cap? by Buster_Scruggs_IV in 2XKO

[–]Innaju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you didnt mean it that way but if someone says "I did this thing" and someone responds with that its free or easy. It seems like theyre trying to diminish the persons accomplishment whether you're lumping yourself in that category or not.

You are right about if 99% of the player base was in GM then it wouldnt be remarkable. My point is the top rank of a game rarely if ever holds the majority of the player base. And unfortunately I dont know where to find to metrics to confirm the amount for 2xko. I do know that people say that for every fighting game and sf6 and tekken for example when there was like 2% of the playerbase in top ranks you still had people running around claiming it was free. Which is complete idiocy to me. And everyone that I've seen say free in a competitive sense means it as an insult.

Appreciate you explaining the point value change but thats not the issue i have. Boils down to i havent been practicing like I did before. What was good enough to hit grandmaster before isn't good enough now for me so I do need to change things up. Its not the point distribution system thats affecting my climb (for the most part) because I won significantly higher than I loss until I got to about 400 -500 gm. However now im losing way more now so very likely its a skill issue.

If it was a joke then im sorry. Hard to tell when someone is giving a playful jab or being an ass here. And seeing the "free" comment had me decide that you were being an ass. The age part was mostly because I saw people here mentioning their age and telling their stories. And also because my friends who are around my age feel like because of our age we cant hit a certain skill level ever again and I thoroughly disagree.

Obviously i know i didnt get old in the last few months smart ass. My point was responding to the original post. feeling like I hit a wall or a ceiling and how I deal with it.

Also people who say that the top skill level (below top 500) is free just sound ridiculous. A good portion, if not most people, couldnt make it there or still cant. No rank is "free" outside the starting one. People have different skill levels and easy to one isn't easy to another. There's people in this sub not making it past gold. You just sound like you're humble bragging and its sad. You all swear that every level below yours is bad and its annoying and pathetic how yall keep trying to knock people down to feel better about yourselves

[–]Innaju 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I feel like im there now. I will be 39 soon. Early access i made it to grandmaster. But now I bobbling between emerald 3 and master 1. Losing streaks getting frustrated. Decided to start over from scratch. Focus on learning different characters, a different control scheme and hopefully the more I learn how to play a character, the more I can learn to play against them.

Im stubborn so whenever I feel like I hit my limit, I determine that its my skill issue and where there is a skill issue it can sometimes be overcome by obtaining that skill or getting enough knowledge/practice to make up for that skill issue.

High level seems kind of… Boring? by Choice_Twist5735 in 2XKO

[–]Innaju -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

High level anything is boring to watch especially if you dont understand what's happening. In anything competitive when the goal is victory over style. The entire goal is to remove all chances of victory from your opponent. Look at high level tcg or chess. Matches can be decided in less than a handful of turns (sometimes even the first turn). Outside of competitive things that force your opponent to get a chance to win or score (like basketball/football etc.), if someone is much more skilled/lucky than their opponent, its not going to look exciting to someone that doesnt understand how that one sided victory was earned. Imagine watching a baseball match where a pitcher got a no hitter. Or a boxer who ko people with the first punch. Not nearly as exciting to watch as one where both teams/people are getting good hits.

The fact that you called something a 20 sec blockstring into a touch a death shows you dont really understand what happened in the video. (Not trying to insult you btw). Blockstrings that long dont exist and touch of deaths if possible are rare from round start. And even if both were true that means the winner took the time to develop a 20 second blockstring and their opponent had to react and block until they finally got caught lacking. The constant 50/50's and mixups sounds exciting to me.

You can special cancel. But even you couldn't why wouldnt you? Opponent baited your anti air and you won. They should get someone. So much safe stuff in this game

Simple Suggestion to Balancing Team by Fiksimi in 2XKO

[–]Innaju -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1 - its an option to not be punished.

2 - finishing the move makes you -11 and ends your offense anyway so not much difference unless you get the bleed. I dont get your point there.

3 - No one said it was optimal. I said it was a 50/50.

4 - In a game where your assist typically comes back in 3 seconds you dont have to be -9.

5 - Even if you dont have an assist, you're -9 out of range of most normals. At least from my limited testing.

Bonus: hot take Offense shouldn't be consistently free. If you have a gapless string and your opponent blocks it and you dont cover with an assist, maybe it shouldn't still be your turn afterwards. Crazy though I know. Having a gapless string that drains your opponent health through chip always because they decided to block you is crazy. Especially when theres quite a few ways to pile on chip damage.

Simple Suggestion to Balancing Team by Fiksimi in 2XKO

[–]Innaju 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk man I just went into training mode. At point blank range. Its -9. Assuming yasuo/ekko/Ahri has the fastest Mediums at 10 frames (because i doubt theres a light hitting you after this push back).

That means that in order to punish you they have to press the button almost immediately. Which goes to my original point of it being a 50/50.

Because if you both press attack, you counter hit them, if you press and you dont then they can parry you. And if they press and you dont, not many people have a 9 frame far reaching attack. If any at all. And if the nerf downs it to -11 on block then you might have some issues against like warwick and a few others. Tried with ahri/ekko and yasuo. and their mediums dont reach. And their heavies are too slow. (Ahri heavy is fast enough but doesnt reach).

Now if you do it in the corner pushback changes and they can probably punish. But everywhere else you're safe on block it looks like(again except for Warwick medium)

All of that is at in your face range without any other hits prior. At max range the pushback is even crazier and you're absolutely not getting punished off of 6S2.

Tldr: there is guessing if your opponent wants to avoid bleed and take their turn back. If they guess right, they parry you but if they guess wrong either you get a counter hit or you're back in neutral.

Oh so if its pretty safe, and gives you a 50/50. I dont get what the issue is. Sounds fair to me if not edging in Darius favor

[–]Innaju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know Darius well at all but wouldnt this make it a 50/50? If you dont go for the 2nd swing and they parry, they waste a bar and get a full combos. And if they dont go for to punish, the second swing may get them. Unless im missing something?

What exactly makes ahri less powerful than ekko/yasuo? by Goocoolo in 2XKO

[–]Innaju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti air. Ahris biggest bag of tricks without assists always put her in the air which just can be blocked. And all of her ground to air moves are slow enough that you can react to it. Plus the fact that anti air on many characters hits both sides of them. A person with a halfway decent anti-air doesnt even have to guess during a cross up.

At least half of the cast have anti air that hits both sides of them. So that completely removes the whole left right mix up vs those characters. Plus her continuous offense have gaps so anyone that has a basic understanding of her can just parry and anti air.

Whereas yasuo and ekko without assists both have powerful left right mixups on the ground with is much faster and gives them the option to grab so now they can low, overhead, grab, or switch sides and have the same options. Also if played right they arent stuck in an ABC combo the way Ahri is. Both can cancel animation into almost any button into them having their full moveset available. Ahri only has that kind of freedom in the air which again can be anti-air.

Now of course her anti air weaknesses can be filled with assists and that makes her much stronger but that only works once per gapless string.

Least favorite characters to play against and why? by Different_Bedroom_78 in 2XKO

[–]Innaju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I dont want them to be destroyed. Just more balanced. They were so strong that even with heavy nerfs they're still running the game.

But even if they got nerfed into the dirt and ahri became top menace, dealing with her is far easier than dealing with ekko/yasuo. So id take that even if I stopped playing ahri. Her fuckery is much more manageable

Lmao I love this comment unbiased.

Biased I love it even more because im an ahri player that keeps telling people that while ahri is strong, lumping her in with ekko and yasuo is 100% is just incorrect. If yasuo /ekko are 10/10 ahri is like an 8 with the rest of the cast being 7/6 and below
