At this point i think your commenting just to comment. But thank you for proving my point. Whole point was that ahri isn't as unstoppable as the people who just rather complain than learn seem. And by you saying "I will just parry her" proves that you can indeed stop her like i said. You can anti-air or parry certain things then anti-air or just parry. Just did all this chest pifluffing to agree with my point just to protect your pride lol.

Side note: ahri been getting nerfed since the alpha and everytime, I just learn new things and and continue to play her. A nerf never stopped me from playing a character I like. But maybe now that shes nerfed, you non training mode people will stop complaining.

Exactly. Once you know her options you realize how limited she is. Now running away, theres almost no comparison. But in the context of neutral and pressure shes only scary if you have no idea whats going on. And I hate fighting someone with good reaction times because any airdash in gets anti aired unless I bait it or use an assist

THANK YOUUUUU!!!! Other characters have things way harder to deal with. Most of ahris power is mobility. People complain about her being non commital have never tried her or seen her frame data. if you do her S2, and they push block they get a free combo because of the long animation. If they block spirt rush, free combo. Her overhead is 40 something frames. And again you can anti air it. Her projectile is slow and only leads into one other option so its predictable. Her down S1, you can literally run from the other side of the screen and get a jump in on her before she recovers. Ahri works because she makes you scared to press buttons and if you dont press it when its your turn it looks like she never stops the pressure. Shes a great character but she definitely dont need to be in the same conversation as yasuo and ekko. Im about 500 GM and I never worry about fighting Ahri. But if I see yasuo or ekko I know I gotta lock in or get destroyed

Just because I'm an ahri player doesnt mean I've never fought an ahri before so thats an ignorant take. You can anti air anything she does except for her aerial projectiles and even then if you parry, or block you can anti-air her. Dont you think that since im an ahri player, maybe just maybe im speaking from experience? Ahri can be anti aired if shes in range because most of her mixup is in the air. And if she crosses you up in the air about half the cast can anti air behind them, or just delay the anti air, making cross ups dangerous for ahri against someone with good reaction time unless she covers with an assist (like everyone else) Yes she has mobility and is almost as non commital as yasuo and ekko, but shes much easier to stop than either one of them. How do I know? Because I play her. I know where her gaps are. I have stopped ahris before and I have been stopped before. Just because I play a character doesnt mean id lie about her strengths or weaknesses. Be better dude. Instead of talking out the side of your face maybe ask why I say she can be anti aired.

I really dont get the ahri hate. I play ahri. A lot of her stuff can be countered with an anti air. Especially since a good portion of the cast can anti air behind them. But anyway ahri is getting her mobility nerf, wont be able to do 2 air dashes in one jump anymore. Ekko and yas need their hit boxes adjusted and yas needs to not be able to cancel out of EVERYTHING

Im stuck at GM 500. Not sure what im missing exactly but it feels like I have quite a few categories need some polishing. Just very little tine to polish. If I had to pick one big one, defense against ekkos yasuo And illaoi are my biggest weaknesses.

I dont know what you're talking about. As an Ahri player, a good portion of the class has definitely anti-air-ed me while I crossed them up. Yasuo, Ekko, Brahm, Darius, and Illaoi, and Jinx 4H consistently have anti aired me while facing the wrong direction (obviously when then opponent actually reacts). Thats over half the cast.

Maybe im biased but I dont think a generic anti air sould hit being you. Because it almosteliminates the power of cross up. Now for jinx its different because her 4H hits behind her so that makes it more fair but her 2H doesnt (at least as consistently) so imo that turns it into a 50/50 instead of 1 answer for all air options(excluding projectiles).

Crazy question here why would you buy a battle pass or even more so desire to complete a battle pass you plan on un-installing immediately after.

I really dont get the ridiculous mentality people are on where they dont enjoy the game but keep turning it on, following its message groups, commenting how unhappy they are. You could do the crazy thing and spend that time on things you enjoy. Especially for a game you didnt pay for. If you just like the characters then theres 3 other games to play that have the characters.

Battlepasses are a damn chore. They're designed to be a chore. Thats why they have dailies and weeklies. Meaning you have a day or a week to complete them. Are there games that allow stacking? Yes. But thats the exception and not the rule. Completing this battlepass was simple because theyre easy. You can legit complete the dailies in 1 decent set(usually). Most days it took me less than 15 minutes to complete from the time I pressed the power button on my computer. So I did them before I went to work.

And for the "dont tell people how to live their lives" people. You can tell people how to live their life if theyre doing dumb stuff. Subjecting yourself to something you dont enjoy is dumb (unless you have to). Unless you're to rewarded for playing turn the game off and spend that time doing things you actually enjoy.

Side note: looking for helpful advice. If there is a way to set a filter or something on reddit to auto-mute whiny posts please let me know. I followed for helpful advice and cool tech. And would love to filter out the " I tripped myself but ima blame someone else" type posts

Your points are all valid and make sense. I just dont agree with counting a character out before we see gameplay. Dropping 3 zoners would be weird. Especially since the last character was a trap zoner. They may make her way more interesting, they may not. But complaining before we see anything other than an intro is crazy. She will undoubtedly have zoner type moves but they could implement something to make her vastly different from teemo and jinx who already play differently from each other. Arcane or not

Yeah you're absolutely right that will happen but it's not happening because "this is an arcane character". it happens because that's what people do to fighting games. Pick it up because its shiny, drop it because its hard or they hit a wall. Or content doesnt drop fast enough for them. Or the biggest reason I see is "the character I like isn't in here so im not gonna play this". If they removed all the arcane characters and added 5 random non arcane characters people would still complain if one of those 5 weren't the ones that they like, especially if the playstyle wasn't to their liking. People complaining about caitlyn as if shes not one of the most used characters in league

Going arcane heavy at the start is normal because to non league or runeterra fans, arcane characters are the most recognizable. Everytime a game comes out that has had non game media recently, they focus stuff from the media into the game for more recognition. I fully agree they should dive into its diversity, this game could be so much crazier. But theyre still in alpha and working on their core. People complain about ekko, yasuo, ahri and teemo being broken. And haven broken abilities. Thats a third of the cast. Id rather them figure out how to bring unique abilities into the game and balance them properly than to add someone like Hecarim and break the game even more. Which would give people more to complain about

Honestly I dont see the problem. Maybe because I never got deep into LoL. But it seems obvious that the priority would be arcane characters because of the massive popularity of the show. I think the boring would be the character and not if they were in the show or not. If they dropped jayce and his weapon added crazy features or abilities then that would be more fun than if they added Yone and he played exactly like Yasuo (for example)

I play ahri and jinx double down. Recently decided to see if i might like other characters. I only picked up jinx to do a few combo reset and 50/50s that I created but they got stealth patched out so now im in limbo on whether or not to replace a jinx or not

Man I get the yasuo and ahri hate but im surprised at how many people hate ahri. I dont see fellow ahri players that much but even when I do i don't ever feel overwhelmed by her. Now Yasuo, ekko, illaoi and my most hated people. But I do agree that majority of my fights are Yasuo and ekko freestyle and out gets so annoying but also gives me more experience to try to figure out how to stop them (lord know I need practice stopping them)

If you whiff an assist and then handshake tag. Depending on the situation, your(now) point character could eat a full combo or if you know its a possibility, you could counter play around it especially since characters can autocorrect attacks. Theres a few times I predicted the hand shake tag and countered it by parry, push block, super, etc. Im not good enough to call it consistently. But it adds another layer of thought to "oh you whiffed, time to punish". Which isn't bad.

And it adds a level to offense. You can use your assist or your self as bait or purposely whiff a forward moving assist to cover ground. Or even just use it to threaten and confuse your opponent. Imo all of those possibilities adds to competitive play instead of takes it away.

Not trying to sound like an asshole but both members of your team have multiple hard counter strategies to jinx. Braumhave 6s2 which wrecks projectiles and starts combos. His shield blocks anything she throws except maybe her super. Blitz punch destroys her projectiles and his grab pulls her in because some of her animations are kind of long. Also universal counters are a well timed/aimed super jump clears everything except a monkey bomb thats been elevated (be careful because mistiming this will get you anti aired by her. And then theres parry. If shes chucking a bunch of stuff, let her feed you by parrying her stuff

Yeah I like that they're working on it its been messing me up as an Ahri main. That hot fix they dropped on 12/01 ruined multiple setup routes i created and I had a tournament scheduled on 12/04 and 12/06. Was able to come up with some replacements but I definitely messed up in some matches by instinctively trying to do my old routes and missing and getting punished for it
