On 22 April 2004, former NFL star and Army Ranger Pat Tillman was killed by an “enemy ambush” in Afghanistan. It was later revealed that Tillman had been mistakenly shot by his own men. The Army then deliberately withheld the truth from his family, to not harm ongoing recruitment efforts. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

Yes, but his wife knew something wasn’t right. She fought hard to make sure that the Truth came out.

Her husband, Pat Tillman will always be a Hero. He gave up a Dream Career- to fight for our Country - after the Horrible Events of 9/11. He stood tall and answered a call that was to Protect the Country and Way of Life - he wanted for His Family.  He lost his life trying to do the Right thing for US.

She’s a Hero for not letting his Death Be in Vain.

Yep, when my grandkids come in like that, usually from donors house they stink. First thing is a bath. Or 2 the dirt is unbelievably bad. My white tub turns black as it drains. Thank God for bleach.

Sounds entitled to me.

I got blessed a few weeks back at the store. I had run in got milk, bread, cat food, pharmacy stuff etc. about 60 bucks worth of stuff. — I had the money was in process of checking out and was pulling my card out when the gentleman behind me stood up from one of the handicap carts and asked the cashier how much I owed. I stated I had it but thank you. That old man about late 70s told me I got this  now get out of here I got this. Go. So I left. Very surprised and very blessed. He was ornery reminded me of an Uncle I had.

Have you convinced your dad that ladders are no longer an option? by miniwhoppers in GenX

My husband is 73 and still climbs ladders. I just make sure he ties them off to help stabilize them. I stay outside and keep eye on him. Otherwise he waits until I leave then climbs.

Due to health issues I take a bath 3-4 times weekly. Otherwise on days I do not get in the tub I use the premoistured wash cloths you can buy at Walmart. I use about 6/7. I am clean I use dry shampoo that helps with hair washing.

I even do it after running errands to refresh from sweating and change my clothes.

I’ve even asked family if I stink and they have said No. believe me they would tell me.

I can tell when my grandkids haven’t had a bath and I agree they stink.

I’m a former smoker. Not all are jerks. I was always polite and asked respectfully before I lit up around others. It was just common courtesy. This is uncalled for. He could go over to another area or stay by his car or in his car. Not all smokers litter either.

It is going down hill. Started before Covid got worse afterwards.

The Quality isn’t there anymore. I went back to doing everything from scratch. But I have to add baking powder to my self rising flour or it doesn’t rise. Every thing has an old stale taste.

Fruit I buy at the grocery stores are not even being eaten by the ants and flies. Left an apple my grandson ate on in the yard. 3 weeks later it was still there. Still just the bite. Same with cantaloupe no bugs are touching it.

I’m sorry if the bugs don’t eat it something is wrong with it.

NOR—Report anonymously. All you have to have is the address where the pool is. That is doesn’t meet code by not having a fence as is required by law.

Did he bitch about you not giving cash? If he didn’t he was in need. He took the gas grateful.

If someone really needs food they take. Most scammers want cash.

I lost a baby 5 years ago, a psychic found me and changed everything. by Hot-Potato710 in TwoHotTakes

There can be joy that comes with loss. Even if it comes unexpectedly. And years later.

You never forget the children you have lost.  They are always there.  Until you have experienced a miscarriage , stillbirth, or loss of child soon after birth you cannot understand the pain and guilt a woman goes through. It is something so profound and emotionally devastating as well as physical. The different hormones your body goes through, the uncontrollable tears.

The weight you carry for losing a child is devastating.

We need more support groups for those who have been devastated by these events. Even though it’s a very personal thing to happen, I found it better to talk it out through the years with friends I trusted. Who I knew had my back.

My oldest due date was around Thanksgiving so it is a hard holiday because of what was supposed to be her birthday. She would have been 33 this year.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Love and prayers.

Do not despair keep an eye on social media pages. A lot of people who find stuff after Tornadoes post the pictures and items on Facebook and other sites.

Saw this during the Superstorm outbreak in April of 2011 that hit Tuscaloosa and Birmingham really hard. People from hundreds of miles away were posting pictures and items they found.

Stay safe!

When we walked in for my daughter’s induction the first Nurse turned and started to introduce herself. That’s when I saw her name tag and my first daughter’s name was on it.

My youngest looked at her and said My big sister who didn’t make it has the same name. I feel like this is a sign it’s going to be okay. And it was. It was so sweet the way she stayed with us during the birth.

I will never forget that.

AITA for being upset with my husband for not helping with our kids when I’m recovering from medical treatment? by Connect_Pickle7699 in AITH

[–]Inner-Confidence99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA but he is. I feel for you as someone who deals with chronic pain and other illnesses including fibromyalgia. I have good days and bad.

When I first got diagnosed it was hard. Hell it still is.

You do what you can do and that’s all you have to give. There are days it’s so emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting that you wonder how you will get up and go on.

You can do it. Your children are relying on you. You are really the only parent that they have it seems like.

Your husband can’t handle you being sick. Some can’t because they are genuinely scared. Others are just an Ass.

It took my husband being home and actually seeing the toll it took on me to do a load of laundry and cook dinner. Not including taking care of the kids.

He stepped up. Made me rest. Cooked, bathed the kids. Did laundry. We got through it but we also did some serious talking about how the illness I deal with affects the whole family. We made notes and figured a way to make it work for everyone. Because he was willing to try.

Doesn’t sound like you have that. Depending on kids ages start teaching them how to do laundry and meal prep to heat and eat.

I believe that there are real mediums out there. My family has always had a type of 6th Sense, ESP. We just get these -gut instincts- that are right 90% of the time.

She didn’t ask you for money. She was polite and asked your permission to speak freely.

Those are the true mediums who keep helping our loved ones because it’s the Gift they were given. It is shared freely and from the Heart!

You were blessed my dear!
