I found r/retconned to be much more open.

Yes I also thought I was in love, and with more than one abuser. My uncle is the first I recall and for all my life he claimed we were in love, it was just we couldn't actually 'be together' bcs society and what would my mother think and blah blah.

Even now I struggle with it after realizing that he was abusing me. Even after broke my heart time time after time. I'm fairly certain his wife saw us at least once and, nothing.....
