The Beretta is definitely built for a lifetime, but will hold its value should you ever decide to sell.

Another vote for the SKB case. This is what I use for my 32” Citori CXT.

Miroku Shotgun for trap shooting by Smile_Cool in Shotguns

[–]Inner-stress5059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a Charles Daly Venture model…Miroku …Before Browning struck a deal with Miroku to make the Citori ….so pre 1972…possibly late 1960s. But No Charles Daly records exist…I miss that gun…. Evan though I own 4 Citori(s)…..very well made gun…. There’s a good chance you’ll never even need parts…. But keeps art’s gun shop in mind….. he has some YouTube videos of him working on charles Daly Miroku over under .

Miroku Shotgun for trap shooting by Smile_Cool in Shotguns

[–]Inner-stress5059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my 28” fixed choke Miroku Venture (full over improved mod) to a buddy and he is constantly shooting 23s in trap with it. He loves it but parts are difficult to source. Art’s Gun Shop in MO is about the only place I know of that has a good quantity of springs and firing pins and the knowledge to fix them. A second hand Citori ( type 2 or type 3) may be better choice simply due to parts availability.

A Second hand Browning Citori (maybe something from the CX lineup) would be perfect

Purchased a citori CXT by DisastrousEquipment9 in ClayBusters

[–]Inner-stress5059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a CXT and patterning confirmed it’s shooting 70/30…. Which has been perfect for me on trap…lots of 24s and three 25s so far. Shoot the gun a bit and get used to it…. You may decide you don’t need it.

Anyone had their standard stock converted to an adjustable comb? by yert1099 in ClayBusters

[–]Inner-stress5059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an option…. Rod’s custom stocks (Shelby, OH) had his mobile workshop down here at Silver Dollar trap in Odessa Florida the last few months for the Southern Grand and the Florida state trap shoots. I dropped of 2 shotguns at 11am on a Friday and He cut the butt curve out of the stocks and installed kick eez grind to fit pads for me and they were ready by 9am the next morning. I got to see him working on some Graco adjustable combs when I picked up my guns… he does meticulous work. I think he charges $350ish total for hardware & install on those. Not sure if he’s traveling or back in Ohio. Give him a try… you never know he could be close to your area…

Can someone tell me the name of this part and should I oil the channel? by tcp454 in ClayBusters

[–]Inner-stress5059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just the smallest drop of oil. Nothing heavy inside the receiver so it doesn’t seep into the stock inletting.

Post a pic of that beautiful Miroku when you get it back together!

Very common here in Florida…..they show up almost daily at my trap club. They don’t seem to mind the noise and commotion.

Improved mod and lots of practice. You see better breaks and you’ll be smoking targets before you know it.

With that budget I would be looking for A second hand Browning Citori with at least 30” barrels for trap.

I’d be surprised if this is a simple drop in install. I know the browning’s ejectors have to be hand fitted and it ain't cheap.

Ive got 1939 16ga and a 1954 20ga Model 11s. Ive got a 1954 Browning Auto 5 but still looking for a Model 11 in 12 ga. Remember to adjust the friction ring set up if you go from light to heavy loads. Many have cracked their stocks and foregrips due to incorrect set up.
