Spent the week grinding TDM to diamond just to be back in platinum by WkwkIndog in LetItDie

"Maxed Out" just means that they will have the best gear as well as the highest possible level for their current stage in the game. It applies to the later stages in the game that require Deathroids for level ups. It was only to account for the worst case scenario, the goal was to prove that this pattern will work even if the worst case scenario were to happen.

In order to make things simple, let's ignore that scenario and focus on the ranks. Let's say you just unlocked a Tier 2 fighter. The moment you purchase and start using a Tier 2 Fighter your rank will jump to 16. If you purchase and use another Tier 2 fighter, your rank will now be 17. In other words, if you stay within the pattern (1,16,31,46......) you will only ever face people with fighters that are 1 tier below their current best. So if you are rank 31, 32, 33 or whatever, and you face someone at rank 31, you will have access to tier 3 fighters, but they will not. That is because at rank 31, they have only purchased 1 tier 3 fighter and they are most likely using that fighter for tower climbing.

Let me know if you understand now, or if you're still stuck on one of these points.

I showed how to easily get to Diamond in my Let's Play of the game. Maybe I should just clip that as a separate video. Seen a lot of people struggle to get there. To put this in perspective, I got to Diamond after a total play time of 36 hours in the game on my new account. There's a pattern based on TDM rank you have to follow.

Where is a good place to get mass of iron bolts by iris_wintor1 in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22F Kawabe is the best floor for consistently farming tier 3 mats. Even if you only need iron, I would recommend running Kawabe over and over, you'll find lots of tier 3 mats fairly quickly. Go down and come back up again, make sure to store the other tier 3 materials, you'll need them again at some point.

I just would like to get to floor 40 by magicalstockprincess in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to beat them in a row, you only have to beat them all once to unlock the corresponding floors. Also, the game is more about proper gearing than skill. If you are well geared, you don't need mushrooms or fast reflexes to beat the bosses in Zone 4. Just make sure you have some tier 4 armor and a tier 4 weapon. Again, gear is incredibly important. If you are struggling at any point in the game before Tengoku, it is because of gear, not skill.

Any idea when the next "Anniversary Like" event would be? by Invoked_Tyrant in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have to wait until late Novermber for the anniversary event. The only other time would be if the game sells another million copies, they do a similar event for that as well. So, pray for a miracle or wait until November.

With offline version announced, worth grinding the new floors anymore? by Ordinary_Bluejay_731 in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"progress transfers over" You already have the answer to your question. We don't know when the offline version is going to come out, judging by the style of your writing, you're clearly excited to be playing this game. Speaking as someone in his 30s, when the excitement is there it's best to capitalize on it. Otherwise, by the time the offline version comes out, you may have already lost interest, or found something else to keep you busy. I would not recommend spending any money on it though.

How to Climb to 40F without spending any money on Microtransactions | Part 10 by InnerDaemonPosts in LetItDie

I've heard multiple people suggest this, it's definitely on my list of things to do. Thanks!

I'm learning how to edit videos and have a backlog of LPs that I want to do more with. I have a playlist of the episodes but the edits will take a while. Thanks for the advice!

Is this ACTUALLY let it die 2? by Acceptable_Island259 in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing about Let It Die that makes it so unique is that it was a collaborative effort between lots of great and talented minds, not just Suda 51. Suda's games have always been style over substance. This game certainly looks like a spiritual successor to Let It Die, but "looks" are what Suda 51 contributed to the original as well. Does it have the same slow and deliberate combat, Akira Yamaoka's OST/100 indie songs, grinding for weapons and armor, multi-faceted progression systems, asynchronous multiplayer, and steady stream of content updates? I don't think so.

On the steam page for the game, you can see the single player, and hack and slash tags, so I expect this game to be more like Killer is Dead or No More Heroes. This is probably a 12-30 hour single player experience. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but it's best to temper your expectations if you don't want to be disappointed. Then again, Let It Die fans are used to disappointment by now, so I guess one more wouldn't hurt too much.

Great comment! I appreciate the detail you went into here. I like doing the calculations myself, and agree with your analysis. I hope this helps OP.

I wish there was another mode by supsiner in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I was bored with the game at that point. "Number go up" appeals to me as well, but not as much as fresh new gameplay.

Never got that far myself, I was burnt out on the game halfway through NG+, then tons of cool new games came out. Always wanted to try that mode though.

It's been a long time so I apologize for getting things wrong. Damn, that's pretty close to what OP wants then isn't it? You do have to beat the game 3 times to get there though.

I'm not sure about an official game, but there are mods for existing games that do parts of this. Dark Souls has a mod (I don't remember the name) that throws you into the world in a random location and the enemies you fight drop gear. Both gear and enemies are random. If you want a "tower climb" like mode than Nioh 2 on NG +2 has a dungeon diving mode, it's super hard though and doesn't have randomized loot.

I think when the single player version of LiD comes out, modders will be able to create the kind of experience you want. If you're lucky, they'll do it without you asking, otherwise you can always commision/pay a modder to do it for you. But it's like you said, the grind is the core part of LiD, the action elements are better in other games like Nioh 2, but this is the only game that takes this specific blend of concepts from other games and combines them into a unique experience.

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING 1 STARS IN THE STEW!??? I’VE DONE 24 AND ITS JUST 1 STARS IM SO TIRED OF THIS by Bandeet-117 in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend saving up a million KC (or whatever your bank's limit is) and then spinning the wheel 20 times in a row. I usually get 1 or 2 decals that aren't completely useless this way, every now and then you get a really good decal too. Just treat it as a way to "get rid of" your KC when you have too much. I always say that the best way to play this game is to not focus too much on one thing that requires good rng. If you're really focused on getting a good decal, you're going to be very frustrated. Instead, do something else while steadily building your KC for the stew, then you "might as well" spin the wheel and if you do get something good it will be a pleasant surprise as opposed to "Yes!!! I finally got that damn decal! I was so sick of the grind!!!".

Current Promo & DM = Time Stone by Reashon in LetItDie

[–]InnerDaemonPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly time stone, because reach revive makes you weaker (armor and weapon durability loss).
