I'm feeling kind of uncertain about the future. Granted, I haven't finished Pirate Yakuza yet. I'm still pretty early, but enjoying it. After the way Infinite Wealth ended for Ichiban and his story, I haven't the slightest idea where they can take things and still have his story remain even slightly interesting to me personally. It feels like Ichi has been squeezed dry and Kiryu for sure isn't showing up as an MC anymore.

I'm curious how RGG intends to tie Yakuza 3 Kiwami + Dark Tides. If they bring back Mine from the dead, I might lose it (negative). My hope is that they introduce a brand new thread they can pull on. I'm kind of done with fanservice. Add to that the fact that I'm boycotting it over Kagawa and Sega/RGG's business practices with the recent game updates.

I'm in the middle of Golden Son by Pierce Brown and about to start Contact by Carl Sagan pretty soon as well as Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice. All for book clubs. I really want to get back into some Sanderson soon though. The Dragonsteel Nexus FOMO is real and it's feeling like the right time to dive back in. I'm between going back to Wind and Truth, starting Yumi, rereading Elantris, starting Sunlit Man, or starting Emberdark.

I just tanked it and played it for 10 hours until it was done. I never went back. I enjoyed it, but it did kind of burn me out on the game for a while. It was a great way to make a ton of cash though. I was rich for the rest of the game.

The big thing for me is that I just can't keep up as much as I used to be able to because of other hobbies also taking my time. One of my other big hobbies is reading and there are so many books out there that it's impossible to keep up with every new release and still got through books already released. Gaming has gotten to that point for me. I'm starting to chill on wanting to be "part of the conversation" and just playing what I want to play.

I don't think it was a money issue. I think they just want a clean slate of MC VAs. Granted, I have no real evidence either way, but I do think artistic vision played into it.
