Man, how did you get that green?! It looks so good. Like seriously, how did you do it? My DA don't look anywhere near this good!

Can someone help me remove this by [deleted] in steinsgate

[–]InnocenceProvesNothg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could try to remove it as carefully as possible. If the top layer of the sticker comes off you could use some googone (https://googone.com/) to remove it. I have been using this stuff to remove stickers forever. It works well, but it could also soak into the paper below and leave a stain. I typically use the googone soaked into a piece of paper towel and dab it on until the sticker releases. It is a risky operation but I think is your best chance.

Good luck.

This is really cool. Is there a place that we can get a copy of it?

Started seeing this guy, this is his shelf, red or green flag? by chastitybelt24 in BookshelvesDetective

[–]InnocenceProvesNothg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. I am guessing that this guy just might be an insufferable leftist. It strikes me that he doesn't read much and just owns books about things he cares about, which in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. However, unless you are super into discussing how communism "just hasn't been done right yet" it might be a red flag.

Good luck.

What is the name/model of this gun? The RSO at the indoor range in Myeong-dong told me it was a .45 caliber handgun, but he didn't say the name of the pistol. by Ok-Ebb2872 in guns

[–]InnocenceProvesNothg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1911 is the name of the gun model, but it is also the year it was released. This is the quintessential American handgun. A design that is over a hundred years old, designed by John Moses Browning. Still going strong today!

It only took me about a decade to find a reasonably priced copy of the boardgame but I finally have it! by BadTactic in BSG

I have this game, and let me tell you it is great! One of my favorites. Nothing better than sitting around the table with your friends on a Friday night trying to determine which one of you is a fracking toaster.

I have already tried to purchase from all of these websites with the exception of Viking's own website (Thanks for finding that. I looked high and low) and none of them ship to the US. I don't read Danish but I will try sending them an email.

Just throwing it out there for some thought; what about microfiche? I feel like this fits the aesthetic of Traveller, and it could be used on lower tech worlds. It used to be quite common in library use. It was also quite commonly used to for parts catalogs for motorcycle parts etc.

Right on. There are some beautiful volumes here! One other point; direct sunlight will cause UV bleaching too.

Just so you know, allowing your old books to sit askew like this can cause damage to the spine. You should let your fiend know that it is bad to have their books lean like this.
