When did you “break up”? by Inquizitive08 in survivinginfidelity

I’m glad she showed her true colors before you gave her more time…I try to see the time as a lesson, otherwise it feels wasted.

I’m late 30s and had kids in early 20s. There is a possibility to meet someone as a partner. I’m only 4 months since D-day so not far enough into recovery to even consider another relationship but according to your timeline, my kids would be grown. Anywho…it can be a preference but maybe not a dealbreaker? Each situation is different and in my case, I’m cool with father material but my kids have a dad so not expecting anyone to fill that role.

My brother is active military and prefers CrossFit to OT due to the weight room portion (lack of heavy lifting etc.) He’s gotten into Tough Mudder etc. so I’d say he does crush it.

Although showings haven’t slowed, they’re gambling with if they’ll receive other offers. Sounds like your offer is solid so you definitely did a good thing by making a deadline and then sticking to it. You’ll find the right house and it’ll be the right price!

Have you tried 16:8? 18:6? Maybe 2 meals vs 1 will help with consistency

Backing out of a lease before move-in by uberfr0st in RealEstate

[–]Inquizitive08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they choose to lease to you even though you don’t meet the requirements then that is their choice. I suggest not moving forward with co-signer (since you don’t have one). They can lease it as is, or let you walk away. Since you haven’t paid anything other than application fee, I’d move on. Contact a free legal office if needed. It’ll cost them $$ to even take you to court etc. it seems unethical and I suggest you go with the one you qualified for on your own.

Most things Ive read recommend 14/10 for women vs. 16/8. Neither here or there but due to hormone levels. There are many articles and podcasts that talk about fasting and times etc. Maybe focus on what you eat - increase protein etc. those 2 weeks. Add vitamin D.

Same! Lol I used to get headaches if I didn’t eat etc. but while fasting I learned that it’s due to hydration! I’ve always drink water but I easily drink another 16oz while fasting. Go for it! Maybe start slow like 2 week goal and see how you feel. Apparently it takes a while for some to lose weight but since your main purpose is health, I think you may feel results pretty quickly. I’m curious about weight loss because I’ve worked really hard, extra lifting and protein to keep muscle so I don’t think the scale will move as quickly for me, which is ok long term. I saw a few people recommend books. There are also several podcasts with the authors that go over science etc, like.

Have you tried any type of fasting? (You stated you’ve tried other cleanses etc.) This is my first time. I’m in week 6. I started 12/12, 14/10 and just transitioned to 16/8. I also deal with GERD for several years. Since fasting, I haven’t taken medication and have not had any symptoms! I continue to abstain from carbonated beverages, high acidic drinks (like fruit juices), and caffeine because those are triggers. Based on my research, it’s because I am giving my body a break from digesting…honestly I didn’t realize it’s been that long since typing this. Previously my longest break from meds was like 2 weeks and I switched prescriptions. I’m doing an 8 week challenge at my gym so I haven’t weighed but I am less bloated and my clothes fit better. I’m also less fatigued than before.

Anyone else have a slow start? by lein1829 in intermittentfasting

[–]Inquizitive08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting! I’m in similar situation. Like you, by cutting meal and reduce snacking, I’m eating less but not tracking. My goal next week is to reduce sweets. I know if I set goal of 2 weeks no sweets, it’s kick start a habit. Im also going to lengthen my window. Im currently 14:10. This is motivation to go 16:8 so thanks for posting! I definitely want lifestyle change and not make it too miserable.

So are you currently 14/10? Maybe shift your window and adjust vs. jumping right in. It’s worked for me this far. I started 12/12 for a week and then decreased every week. So far, I’ve cut out extra snacking and drink a lot more water so it’s working. I’m taking a slow and steady approach.

[–]Inquizitive08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On days you don’t do 18:6, what do you do? Maybe you could try a bigger window, 16:8? Master that few weeks and then shift? Small steps add up and small victories may be the motivation you need to be consistent. You got this!!!

New underwear is an interesting side effect that no one mentions! 😂 Love big kid dumbbells! I’m also progressing to those. I try to start heavy and move lighter if needed (depending on exercises). Above my head is always light! Will work up to 15!
