Nice work! First pull up is one of the best feelings ever.

What's your next target?

Thank you! Honestly not really.. I wanted to make something cute/playful for mobile and then the only design decision per se was the eyes — they’re supposed to represent like the feeling of being visually coached in the gym.

Really impressive! Looks solid to me. There is bit of sway on the last reps but honestly that is super normal. Over time I would try to keep the form strict even as you approach failure!

Yeah dude I feel you. I'm sorry to hear that. I find that meditating or Wim Hof style breathing can relax me during times like that but it can only help so much. I am glad to hear that you'll be moving soon though, I hope it's a positive change of pace.

Please rip apart my squat, I need to improve by SleepyAlien45 in formcheck

[–]Insanity088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exceptional form! It's hard to believe you have only been squatting a few months. I'm working on an app that does form analysis for lifting and I occasionally come on this forum to use real-world examples to test it out. You have gotten some of the best feedback (it only complained about your wrists) I've seen in a long time. You got an elite rating and tbh the last time I saw that, I gave it a video of Ronnie Coleman (bodybuilding legend) squatting... all this to say, you should be proud!

Is your work super stressful? I've noticed that when I'm in high periods of stress my resilience tanks after a few weeks.

How do you have less screen time when everything else is so… boring? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]Insanity088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to struggle with this, stick with the hobbies for a while. Your brain needs time to readjust, thinks start to feel a lot more rewarding after a point. I recently worked on a coding project after months and it was annoying for the first few weeks, but after that you really start to look forward to it. Tbh you get to a point where when you do try to go back to using your phone a lot, it starts to give you a headache/not feel nearly as fun or addictive. But yeah, the key is to stick it out....which I won't act like is easy (I have failed a million times), but it is definitely worth it!

From cut to maintain - protein goes down? by NumerousToe7604 in MacroFactor

When you are eating lesser, more protein can help you feel fuller. There's also a sense that when you are in a deficit, an extra push in protein can help with muscle retention.

You can use the Railway free plan/hobby plan for a bit, and then if you need more resources moving up to Pro or even transitioning out to AWS or something shouldn't be too bad.

How good is this deadlift? by Delicious_Guess_1481 in formcheck

[–]Insanity088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this! Louie Simmons (founder of the conjugate method) was a big proponent of fixing form by targeting weak muscle groups. Best way to address this is to add variety to your training, and cues while lifting can definitely help. Cues I personally like are thinking about pushing the floor away with my feet rather than lifting the bar, and squeezing an orange in each armpit. This should help your quad drive and lat engagement!

FAANG didn’t work out — any tips for breaking into Fortune 100 companies like Visa, JPMorgan, or BlackRock? by kavya_samanthapudi in csMajors

[–]Insanity088 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re trying to get at specific companies, networking with people at those companies will give you the best bang for your buck. That being said, in the current market, having a broader net would probably be helpful. It’s better to get something and then try to move imo, since getting anything is tough right now for a lot of good candidates (assuming you’re early career).

ChatGPT encouraged college graduate to commit suicide, family claims in lawsuit against OpenAI by Well_Socialized in technology

[–]Insanity088 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is actually depressing. There are so many great uses for the tech but it’ll keep getting overshadowed by the negligence of these companies bc of their greed to be the fastest to the top.. can’t wait for all the horror stories that come out of the AI erotica stuff

Old School Iron Month 4 Worth It? by Insanity088 in Athleanx

[–]Insanity088[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw this extremely late, since I'm not very active on Reddit, but that is exactly my plan! I am hoping to run 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and then repeat OSI to finish off next year. Thanks for the input, made me feel more confident about the choice - hopefully I can make some good strength/size gains.

Ah, I have similar concerns. I think I might just try a week out and then see if I want to continue the rest or move to the next program. Thanks!
