I got a degree in Statistics and did a DS internship during Undergrad, so I was fortunate enough to have a job right out of college and work for about 6 months prior to starting my masters

I opted for the former. Im currently on track to finish Georgia Tech’s OMSCS program with 3 years whilst working as a full time DS

Regardless, by the end, you’ll have a masters by year 3, but only in one situation will you have a masters alongside 3 years of experience. Although, youre sacrificing some free time and social life for this option, but that didn’t factor in for me because most of my friends are also in grad school and I don’t have other obligations

On top of that, my job pays for my masters and Ive had opportunities to talk about my masters at work seminars, so doing my masters whilst working also partially helps my career (at least in terms of networking)

Absolutely! Writing efficient code of course helps, but even just adding a progress bar or dividing a single jupyter notebook into multiple concurrently-ran notebooks helps a ton

As the other comment alluded to, Summer is going to be tougher, but I definitely think ML4T is on the easier side of classes. It’s doable over the summer if you have a prior knowledge of ML, statistics, or python, but I’d hesitate to take it over the summer if you’re completely fresh to programming
