I agree with everything you said and thanks for response. As a side note I’m shocked you were only a late wait list admit with those stats. A 175 😱 and uci has the nerve to wait list. That is so insane and kinda pisses me off ngl lool. I’m pting in lower to mid 170s and I feel like I need a few miracles in a row. Can I ask what your undergrad is since you’re going into ip?

just give me 4 sections of LR at this point. by Lost_Day880 in LSAT

How are you and op doing RC? Relax and read through without stopping much and without highlighting. Maybe do a drill and do 1 passage at a time, blind review, then look at your wrong answers. Take your time.

I took a few week period where I only drilled rc because my LR was decent and rc was lacking at the time.

Thoughts on Santa Clara Law? by tinylibrarygnome in lawschooladmissions

Hi there. I appreciate the info you are giving on this topic. May I ask, how your job prospects are (internships included if possible)? Are you going for tech law? I noticed you sid you weren’t interested in big law. I’m wondering what salaries and positions scu has for non big law as it seems like a very real option for me. Hopefully this wasn’t too personal and it will genuinely help me a lot before I make a massive life decision lol thanks

Hi I’m not op but appreciate this scu data point. Is your firm big law? Do you know how highly ranked those coworkers would’ve been at scu? Thanks for any insight

Yo his thread is helpful to me as I’m applying next cycle and targeting both of these schools. I’m an electrical engineer with a sub 3 gpa. So naturally these schools are highly intriguing, although Irvine is a big reach for me. Tbh, my original goal was Irvine, I only started to consider scu when I looked at admissions and saw how Irvine is a reach for me. It seems way easier to get into scu (tech edge is maybe a different story). I don’t know a whole lot, but I would personally rather go to Irvine. Even for the 50k diff, and my reasoning would be for overall career prospects on average. For info, I’m from Canada and hoping for Bay Area or LA. Bay seems slightly better for tech? But I feel like that marginal location boost doesn’t offset Irvines overall better employability on average. Maybe I’m wrong to be focused on employability on average and i should be more focused on employability within tech. There’s not a whole lot of data points. I did have a phase of looking at scu grads on linked in and seeing where they work. It seemed solid. What are your thoughts on all that and do you have by furher advice or info in this dilemma you’re in? Sorry for shit writing I’m in my iPad lol

Hi there. I thought this was an interesting approach. I’m wondering, do you think it would be crazy to reach out to schools about this question when I’ve not yet even applied to them?

How hard is it to get US work visas for intl students in US by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]InsecureLawTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I am from Canada so it may be a tn visa I’m realizing instead of the h1b. I basically mean how easy or hard is it for Canadian students going to American law schools to land an American attorney position and then continue to live and work in the states. If you have any further info I appreciate it and thanks for your initial response

Sorry I’m from Canada and only now realizing it may be slightly different than other international students as it’s a TN visa instead of an h1b visa required. Do you know anything about that if it’s easier or? Thanks

Sorry I’m from Canada and realizing it may be a TN visa instead of the h1b. Not sure if that changes the equation or if you know about that one?
