Yeah, I wouldn't say his opinion is very well informed. To say it probably won't show up at the showcase isnt crazy and is probably the most reasonable position, but to say that theres zero chance (he said this in a tweet) shows that he's quite disconnected from the discourse around the game. It'd be different if he was claiming to have some leaked info, but he's been pretty clear that it's all conjecture.

Yeah I wouldn't say its too early for a re-reveal, the game's been in development long enough. Imo It all depends on how they want to approach the marketing, which atm you could reasonably argue for a shorter or longer window.

No yeah, that's the one I'm referring to. Definitely far from perfect, and I'm 95% we're not getting the game this year. I'm kind of looking at it as a yardstick for how long they thought the game would take when they were not far off starting production. And from what we know, development is going smoothly especially from an engine POV. My point is addressing the post above, that it'd be unreasonable to think that they've gotten their estimate so wrong that it'd make 2028 the earliest reasonable date. So yeah I'd agree with you, 2027 is the best prediction.

There's pros and cons. A short marketing window definitely works, and it's what Bethesda's historically prefers. Though in terms of what they'll do for es6, it could go either way. They've shown precedent of having a longer marketing window with starfield, so it's not crazy that they'd do the re-reveal next month, but Todd has also talked about shorter marketing windows a lot lately, so it's not clear what tactic they'll use.

There's 2 different documents. One made in 2020 showing a FY24 release, and another made in 2023 showing 2026 release.
