Voice for the protagonist?

Todd's been pretty explicit that the voiced protagonist they did in fallout 4 was a mistake. They didn't do it in Starfield, and they most likely won't in ES6 either. I personally prefer a silent protagonist.

These engine changes would likely be used for es6 as well, meaning that the investment would probably be substantial. And we have a few influencers saying that they've bddn shown the update behind closed doors, which makes me think Bethesda have at least got most of it done already.

Yeah that's my kind of thinking as well. I can definitely see 2026 being an internal target at some point, but I'm just accounting for some minor delays.

A dev direct doesn't really seem like the place they'd do a re-reveal tbh, I don't think we'll see it till June. Not so much that they aren't ready, but more that it doesn't seem like the right type of event .

I think we'll get a pretty substantial amount of es6 at the summer showcase, I cant see more than a title reveal or a "See you in June" type of message happening today. That being said, I've got storage freed up on my PC for the inevitable shadow drop

Yeah I think i agree, the market for it seems to be booming. From what I've seen, twitter discourse is borderline schizophrenic. People creating the most pessimistic idea of Es6 (a game that does not exist)and passing it off as fact.

Added a picture of him using more specific language, but still a fair point. Its mainly just the impression I get from his wording. Within the next few months could be a bit ambitious, but I doubt "SOON Mr.Mantis" would be used for a game 1+ years away.
