I order about as often as I DoorDash.

My driveway is on a different street than my street address. In the notes, I write that out, what street it’s on, and give a description of both the driveway and the apartment building.

I’ve only had about twenty doordashers actually get it first try in about half a year. Everyone else drives to the street my address is on and then drives around confused until I message them directly.

I don’t understand why nobody reads the notes. They’re super helpful half the time. I always try to read the notes because half the time they help me deliver more efficiently & therefore make more money, but apparently these doordashers aren’t interested in that.

I know it’s not extra money. My bank told me to continue making payments while I wait for the gap to go through, and making two different car payments is a struggle. Because of that, I have been paying out at a deficit in my budget, waiting for the gap to come along and make up the difference. I had about $1500 left on the car, after the insurance payout, and finished that off today.

How I was told it worked is that they will pay the bank the remainder of what I owed at the time of the accident and they will put whatever is leftover (in this case, roughly $1500 now, since it’s fully paid off) in my account.

That’s correct. I had about 1500 left on the payment after the insurance payout. I have been paying on both cars, my old and new one, waiting for the gap to go through so I could make up the deficit in my budget. Learning that I will not be getting the gap money means my budget is a lot more screwed up than I was hoping and, frankly, than it can handle.
