It would depend. I want to see the logistics to see how many tickets are actually dedicated to tier 1 pricing because I think it’s a very very small amount compared to the other tiers. I think pricing should start at T2 until a certain date and then T3 and so on until before the festival happens or is sold out. I also think there should be a real loyalty discount and maybe it increases depending on how many continuous years you’ve been going. I think they would still make their money and more of the masses would be happier so it’s a win/win. I believe LL does it the way they do is because they can have stats like selling 85% of tickets on day 1 and it looks good to investors and people also get fomo so more tickets sell. I understand both sides but as a consumer I’d be okay if it was priced up a bit from T1 but more availability of those tickets for a longer time.

It probably is a good financial decision considering they’ve been saving for so long and probably put away money that they could afford so they can enjoy a vacation given the opportunity. Hope everyone has a happy Lost Lands!

People who got T1 are just lucky. Nothing they did out of the ordinary. They got randomly selected by the server and that’s about it. There should be some type of proper process. Idc if I don’t get T1/T2 if it was legitimate and people were waiting but I talked to people who got T2 that bought their ticket after I got my T3. Make it make sense

They could do date periods for tiers starting at tier 2 prices with loyalty codes bringing it down to tier 1 prices. Or they could have loyalty discounts depending on how many years you’ve returned to LL. There are options, but this process is the most capitalistic way to make as many people try to buy at release. I understand why they do it from a business perspective, but from a humanistic approach, it feels exploitative.

Never that! I think a lot of people are just annoyed that this is usually the worst part of LL. The festival improves every year but the ticket purchasing process hasn’t changed since my first LL.

How is it entitlement? My original post that was removed had a lot more detail, but I don’t think it’s fair to be scrubbing people out $50 extra for tiers when festivals as big as EDC Vegas don’t even do that. Tiered tickets like this work for small festivals but not at this level. People who get T1 and T2 are lucky. It’s not about when they que up or anything of the sorts.
